any update yet on the injuries to Anderson and Beestin
-
It looked like Alfie had a broken leg to me but I don't know
-
Oh dear. Hope not. But DF did say that both injuries are 'serious'.
-
I saw Liam Hoden on Twitter say that Anderson's is either cheekbone or neck. Beestin has an ankle injury. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a break.
The Anderson one was very bad luck but Beestin got a nasty challenge. Not malicious but definitely a red card these days. The useless linesman somehow missed it even though it was in front of him.
-
I don't think the ref even gave a foul for the challenge on Beestin. It was late and high.
-
Yes Alfie was done - albeit maybe accidentally - but that Muppet did not give anything.
He had been in trouble with the Crowd for "being injured" on the far side and they were baying for him to get up even when he had shown he was badly injured by immediately calling for assistance
Noticeable that most of the Ground applauded when Anderson went off and almost no Millers applauded when Alfie went off
-
A fair few Millers applauded when Copps went off. Glad to see the back of him, no doubt.

As you will know Rob, it doesn’t have to be an intentional foul to warrant a sending off.
I said at the time that their player had caught AB with a late challenge.
-
It was reckless and endangering. Definitely in red card territory.

......and yet nothing given by the ref and an apparently blind linesman a few feet away.
-
Fergie says it was a fair challenge on the radio I couldn’t see well enough but I assum if it was a red fegie would have not told us it was a fair challenge
-
Still assaulting our players then, going back to Steve Roberts at Millmoor and no doubt countless times before that.

It certainly didn’t look fair to me. It looked incredibly late and a very nasty one for Beestin. Having said that Ferguson was a lot closer to the incident than I was so maybe he’s right.
One thing that is a fact though and isn’t a matter of opinion... we are so unlucky with injuries it’s a disgrace.
-
Fergie is being diplomatic. It was a disgraceful challenge and he knows it, but bitching about it isn't going to change anything.

I think they were our fans in hospitality.
-
Fergie was going ballistic when it happened
-
It was Woods follow through that caused the damage. It looked like he was lunging got the ball first but it looked dangerous.
-
He followed through over the ball, so it was dangerous and should have been a red card. Fergie was going ballistic at the lino who should have seen it. He probably didn't want to comment about it after the game for fear of being in trouble again.
-
It wasn’t late it was a 50/50 tackle. The problem is Wood had his foot over the top of the ball with studs showing.
-
Campsall I thought Darren said the tackle was fair enough. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That was my initial thought on watching it live as well.

listen to the interview he was going mad about the challenge it was something before that had no complaints about the challenge Ferguson’s words who was very close it the incident says it was a 50 / 50 challenge so we are wasting time trying to say it should have been a red

.... yep and as I said earlier he followed through and caught Alfie although it could have been accidental
As the Pundits often say only HE will know

Aye, probably cos they know what tends to happen when he does go off...
Anybody know any statistics on that theme?
