Had a good chat with him 18 minths ago on the ferry back from Amsterdam, nice enough to talk to but would n't have a photo took without you paying him. Top top darts player, made darts what it is today RIP Eric

RIP Eric. Didn’t expect to see that at all last night. The send off was brilliant from the Liverpool echo arena crowd.

Still a shame regardless of anybody’s opinion on him as a individual. You cannot dispute what he did for darts as a sport.

Agreed I didn't think much of him from what I knew of him as a person but he certainly changed darts from a pub pastime to a nationally competitive pastime . I would question whether it's a sport or a pastime though  ?
