Minus some crazy goal swings (Oldham needing about 15 in 2 games) were safe.

In terms of points and position a slight underachievement in some ways. However it is kind of job done.

Next season though must see progression on the pitch or Ferguson has a problem.

I've also checked and 15 results would have to go against us as well.

I don't think our position is an underachievement at all. If we finish 14th that would be more than job done, the aim this season was to stay up and consolidate, how is finishing two places outside the top half not that?

Look at it this way. If you’d been offered 14th place last Autumn, would you have taken it?

Me? Bit of a reluctant grimace and I’d have said “yes”.

So. We’ll be above Division 4 next season. For only the 23rd time in the past 60 years.
