Title: Communication
Post by: wing commander on June 14, 2018, 09:26:36 am
One of the things people have complained about is the communication the club gives to the fans.Especially at times like this when things are a bit up in the air

So it's only fair to acknowledge the efforts this time when it comes to a manager appointment.A lot of clubs have changed manager this last few months, and hardly any of them have said anything about the process etc etc..The first fans hear about it is when a appointment is made...Our club has been the exception to the rule..

We have had the official statement confirming his departure,a criteria of what we are looking for,a comprehensive planned timeframe of events from application to when they will make a appointment. And now we have had official confirmation that a shortlist has been compiled and when interviews are to begin...

I don't think any of us can argue with how they have gone about it this time (then again.lol).So a big thanks to the club for that....

No really sure what your point is , only  that we don’t say nothing until there’s something to say . This forum runs on speculation, inuendo and the dam right made up . Saying nothing isn’t an option.

My point is this...It's fine posting endless threads on this board, berating the board when we think they are not doing something right..So when they do something that is a vast improvement,it's only right that we let them know we've noticed..Otherwise they may just wonder whats the point...

Can we bring back Uncle Ken era ‘Red and White’ propaganda rag and have Board issue statements through that only once a quarter?

As the end of season is usually meant for venting our frustrations at the ‘what ifs and maybes’ . Then add loosing your manager and players leaving etc . This board , very professional they are , often forget that supporters are being asked to renew for next season and buyers remorse sets in . I would prefer if they kept up the weekly statements and stopped some of the draft speculations that often occurs when ‘no news’ is louder than the real thing.

They could tweet every five minutes there'd still be daft speculation by people convinced they can read between lines that aren't actually there.

I want the board to come out and say. "We have nothing to say. We will say more when we have something to say"

Rather than “don’t say nothing”, in which case they would say something.
