Ok so you all want something to think about I was thinking of one player which inspired me to see what we can come up with
I can think of one no clues as it's a hard one any takers ?
surprised nobody has ever come up with this one
another is that X Barnsley lad for Egypt only found that out when the match started he had qualies

Harry Kane scored for Millwall against us. I'll admit I don't remember that one but I did wonder if he had played on loan against us so I wiki'd that one. I remember Danny Rose's appearance though.

Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schemichel. Schmeichel scored for us so I suppose we can claim we have a goalscorer at the WC for us!

I thought Ashley Young from the Villa FA Cup game but if memory serves correct he was suspended for the first game and only played at Villa Park.
The mention of the Spurs Leage Cup game got me to google the lineups, Vedran Corluka played for Spurs that day and is in the Croatia WC Squad this year. Also the BBC lineup shows a "Giovani" playing for Spurs which I believe was Giovani Dos Santos who is in the Mexico squad. Quite a few now we've mentioned them!
Just got a good one watching the Sweden game - one who's played against us at Belle Vue. Seb Larsson of Sweden scored in the penatly shootout for Arsenal I believe. He's probably played against us at the KM too.

Seem to remember Sunderland playing a pre-season friendly at the Keepmoat a few years back - possibly one or both of Pickford & Khazri may have played?
2-2 draw on New Years Day against Sheff Utd when that Kitson Kitson equalised late on - I reckon Harry Maguire would have been playing that day.

Think Kane was there season before and I’m sure vardy started that day

Maguire wasn't in the squad by the looks of it although it wasn't a bad about as he was at the club at the time.
And yes I don't know where I got the Kane thing from. But Vardy played so there you go.

Kane actually started for Norwich in their 1-0 League Cup win over Rovers at Carrow Road back in 2012.
