Doc note I dissent, a fast never prevents a fatness, I diet on cod.
Also the ultimate pangram (sentence containing all 26 letters of the alphabet):
Fjord cwm bank glyphs vext quiz.
One meaning of quiz is an eccentirc professor, a cwm is a valley, and glyphs is a shortened form of hieroglyphs. A pangram is also known as a holoalphabetic sentence.
It's years since I got out.................. :chair:

I remember from an old Guinness Book Of Records that someone wrote a whole novel in palindrome form but I can't remember the details.

Don't remember that one DW, and I was in Leiden quite often. However I am absoluetely surrounded by pubs within 10 minutes walk these days, so no excuse.
These are our nearest two these days, right on the seafront:

Wolfie, Is there anywhere in the world you cant recommend a pub. And if you say Saudi I can maybe assist you on that one ;)
-
I'd be more interested to know if there was anywhere in the world he's got a round in.
;)

Chicago Airport Terminal 1 .... I had to show my Passport and that of Mrs DW when buying a Drink
Why do you need those I asked as I was clearly nearer to 60 than 25. Ah its to promote "responsible drinking Sir says the Barman - who then said (after currency exchange) £15 please"
That was over 6 years ago as well and needless to say my "responsible drinking" started immediately after hearing that !
To the point though I probably could reel off a string of Pubs in various places - The Pickled Parrot Naples Florida is a great one but I have to always defer to CK Browar in Krakow ! Never done Saudi but have been to Dubai but I suspect you have to know where to look in each of them !
... and for DU https://www.north-end.nl/ - You will know where this is now I am sure

Nowt to do with palindromes but a very interesting pub none-the-less.
The William Creek Hotel - William Creek oodnadata track south Australia - William Creek is a 'town' that has a a population of about 10 - the main building in the town is one that houses the pub, post office, supermarket and (used to house) the school room too (not sure if that's still the case) I stopped there in 2003-2004 and the pub has loads of trinkets stuck all over the walls from the people who have visited it - there's a long sleeved blue ledger mobility awayshirt (vandanel I believe but I may be wrong) pinned up in there from me! Lol
