Quite often I may find I change my identity , due to differing circumstances. I wonder how other forum users self - identify ?

abroad I say england, then elaborate if the conversation continues (north England, then yorkshire, then doncaster)
If talking to a brit, I'll say doncaster.
If explaining where doncaster is, I'll say yorkshire in northern England.
NEVER 'near sheffield/leeds' . After all we were here hundreds of years before those upstart boroughs.

Sheffield was an unpassable swamp in Roman times... bit like today I suppose!
