Title: Grimsby v Rovers
Post by: karldew on July 24, 2018, 06:41:49 pm
Not at the game but the starting line up is;

Lawlor
Andrew Butler Anderson Mason
Whiteman
Rowe Crawford
Wilks Marquis Beestin

Nice to see Marquis back in after the rumours he is/was leaving. Looks a lot of pace in the side with 2 ball winning CBs.

Also a trialist on the bench, not sure if anyone has any info on who that is?

Heard the trialist maybe 20 year old Romario Viera

Whoever it is, it's a young lad we're looking at for the development squad apparently.

Formally of Leeds wonder if Malik Wilks has put him forward

It is Viera. He also came through the i2i academy which Beestin did and had a spell at Tadcaster. So probably knows him.

It was a picture on Wilks’ Instagram that it was posted on.

Teams out and ready for kick off, hopefully we knock a few past these

Romario is twin brother to Ronaldo Viera who is a decent player with lot of potential so if he's anything like him i'd sign him up

Did they just decide to randomly name their kids after Brazilian legends or what?

I certainly prefer Marosi. I think Lawlor just creates panic.

No Wright or Marosi?

They both played at Birmingham.

I know we have had a few chances with one off the line a a couple just wide but a bit concerning that if this is our best 11 that we are losing to Grimsby

Don’t mind losing a friendly to teams above us but teams that’s below us that’s worrying

If anyone has played friendly sport at any standard ,football, cricket, darts etc you don’t try the same like it’s for league points or cup rounds, that’s a fact

According to the live feed, Ally Crawford's just missed a one on one; great save by the keeper apparently.

Sounds like we're all over them but the ball just won't go in.

Apparently some great saves and 2 goal line clearance made by them oh well can't win them all

Still got some work to do on putting it in the net. For me signing another centre forward is still what we need at the moment
