Post by: Bezza on July 28, 2018, 09:54:34 am: i like the look of Anderson, but with McCann playing 4-3-3. will he get in the side before Butler and Wright, or would we be better playing all three with wing backs ?

Agree 100% with this. At the moment I think we should start with Wright and Butler

I thought Wright had an excellent game against Rotherham, obviously his error led to their winning penalty but before that he had done very well against probably the toughest assignment of the season for our back line.

I've not been to a friendly this season but I thought Wright was very raw last season and unnasured with his feet. I'm presuming by the posts on here he has improved and matured?

Post by: Campsall rover on July 29, 2018, 12:27:30 pm: Anderson can’t be described as unproven can he? Played a good number of games for us last season ( not sure number without checking) but was never found wanting and he will be pushing Butler and Wright for that starting place.
Dont forget in emergency McCullough can play Centre back and would be good in a 3 centre back line up with wing backs. Comfortable on the ball and can bring it out.
