Greedy bas**rds Wednesday. The only team from the football league and prem to reject the 10% decrease in commentary rights.
Just a crafty way of getting more people to sign up to Ifollow etc.

The way ahead is EFL I follow with.club specific commentaries on club websites and money stays with EFL clubs not with independent media channels .

That is pathetic by Wednesday. Shouldn't be allowed really.
And people moan about how our club is with fans? Much rather be treated how we are (quite well in my opinion) than how Wednesday fans are with things like this.

No it will mean more coverage of the 3rd Sheffield club, Rotherham.
Barnsley and Rovers will hardly get a look in

At the end of the day, it's up to Sheffield Wednesday what they feel their commentary rights are worth.
It doesn't look good when they're the only one of 62 clubs who haven't been able to reach an agreement, but if they can get the same money as previously from elsewhere - whether than be a deal with Hallam FM (if that's still around) or through OwlsPlayer or whatever it's called these days, they'll feel justified.
It is, but refusing a deal to cash in on their supporters buying an iFollow subscription just stinks to high heaven.
Sure, they'll make some money from it, but won't win many friends I wouldn't imagine.

No doubt they will still be going to a reporter at the ground for an update even if it has to be via phone

It's like they say if rovers fans don't phone the station then they can't talk about rovers the more people phone the show the more they will after talk about us
