From last season.. there was no fannying about across the back line.. how many times did we nearly give it away needlessly in dangerous position.. and 2, actually playing with some width, how can any manager (df) , not like wingers.. cross after cross Into the box usually after an incredibly quick path up the field.. the entire pace of the team has upped a lot of of notches.. lots of positives so far...

Other difference is that McCann has a fit Andrew. If he had been available all season and Mason playing right back. We would have been a different team.

Agreed, but if we put enough in to the box then we have a chance of scoring.
Yes the quality needs to improve but it will under this manager.
We are work in progress. Huge potential. I really think we may surprise a lot of people this season including all of us.

Quite a few of those crosses were quite decent but looked poor as no one got near them.
Great to see the intent though..

No needless fannying about on the ball full stop. We got forward quickly and when we did we looked like we had some idea of what to do next rather than pass the ball from one touchline to the other at an absolute crawl only to go back in the other direction about 63 times before inevitably losing the ball.
Loved Blair's very direct run around the time of one of the goals (I feel like it was the third? I also feel like it was in the build up but to be honest I can't remember ). Love Blair, hope to see more of that this season.

The biggest difference for me is McCann,he can change things at halftime that gets us goals he did it at Southend and he's done it again today, where as under Ferguson we would come out after halftime and be worse, can I just mention Herbie he has got real quality loved to watch him play today,he should be permanently in the team while he is here.

Biggest things for me was how quickly we move the ball going forward (with intent) and how they all battled and got stuck in when they needed too.
I don’t think we will get bullied much now. Really impressed today, enjoyed it so much more than last years games

Ooh pace and width who’s been banging on about that for 2 years. But what do I know

The intensity at which we played from the off and carried it through was also impressive. I said at half time once we get a goal, these won't be able to live with us and so it proved, thankfully.
After the next two games, we come up against some fancied teams which will be a good test to see how we are shaping up. It may suit us to play them relatively early in the season as we've hit the ground running. Win, lose or draw, we have a chance to go on a good run then.

2 big differences, for me, were:
a) Having a left back again who can deliver
and
b) the addition of Wilkes and Kane. Wilkes is Definately helping take the load off Marquis and young Kane was the missing link in that midfield 3.

That’s three things Alan!

Said exactly that he looked better than league 1 today

The main difference for me was that there wasn’t much passing it from side to side at the back yesterday... now we have pace in wide areas we play the ball down the channels a lot which worked yesterday and helped us get up the pitch which then lets us play good passing football near their goal and not ours.... with Wilkes, marquis and to a lesser extent kiwoymi we always have an out ball.
