Just been announced. Rumour has it, Sunderland have sold out their allocation.
-
They've only been given 3900. Be that f**king netting that we put at the bottom few rows. Why is that even done?

If it looks like we are not selling and if they want more they will get them. North end of East stand maybe.
-
they can be given another 1500 - 2000 easy. Take their money.

With sales of 3900 I think they’ve already sold that section.
-
Didn't Rovers say that they wouldn't be giving extra tickets to away fans again after the problems last time??
-
But they will get the side as well 4200 int it
-
They woukd sell 10k if we gave it them
-
But they will get the side as well 4200 interested it
I think the 4200 maximum figure was before they covered those front seats with netting Dave; as Muttley said, the 3900 figure will already include those side sections.

Most away fans we have had is 4,400 both Leeds and Middlesbrough. All rows of South stand and the end section of the East stand.

Don’t think that many on a Tuesday eve in league 1
Sunderland have a fantastic support but 10,000 is far fetched. I think 5000 would be realistic.
Just imo of course.
-
Speaking to one of my customers at work who is a Sunderland fan. They took 4k + to Coventry & Barnsley. More impressively, 2k to Gillingham on a Wednesday night.
Said the majority of support are enjoying going to proper grounds rather than being stuck in sky at most Premiership grounds etc.

North Stand, I assume.

It is a shame we won’t be able to top the record attendance.

They’ve not played us yet.

I think he's referring to last season when they brought 4500 to Oakwell in the Championship.

Yes of course I meant North not South.

That'll be the one! Thank you.
-
In my opinion I would give them what they can fill if we can't fill it

To be fair I think you'd struggle to set an attendance bigger than the actual capacity of the ground.

Well I know that.
I was trying to say that with all the segregation netting in place and the removal of some seats to accommodate the big screen it looks like the 15001 that witnessed the Weeds game will not be beaten (until we build the bolt on section when we eventually get to the Premier League).

There's also the netting that gets put on the bottom of the away end these days. f**k knows why we do that. Seems to be a thing these days though.

What am I? What do you mean? Do you mean where do I sit? If you do, South East family area.

Positive thinking. Why not. Nothing is impossible.

Them pins in the ground will have rusted away by then.
-
Just build it on scaffolding like the stadium in Russia for the World Cup

Camps, the “what are you” question was a light hearted response to your admitting that you typed the wrong stand in your earlier post.
You could have replied “a numpty” or something similar to stay in the same light heated vein.
-
Totally misunderstood the “what are you “ Sorry, but I did I did put a
-
I think we could offer Sunderland fans, that want to soak up the fantastic atmosphere at the ground by doing the same as Tennis at Wimbledon and call it "COPPS HILL"
Put up a large TV screen up outside with a huge beer tent close by, loads of money!!!

Or give them more tickets, still around 3.5k left I think.
-
Another win tomorrow will set it up nicely and hopefully eat in to the remaining tickets. I bought 4 for some non regulars. I'm hoping they'll enjoy it and see the benefit of buying a batch of 5 tickets each.
-
The Mackems have sold all their 3900 tickets and are looking forward to invading the Keepmoat.
I used to live in Sunderland and I know how passionate their fans are.
This is an amazing turn-out for a Tuesday night match but they see it as one more step on the way back to where they belong.
It will be a fantastic atmosphere at the KM. Come on Rovers!

No one deserves to belong anywhere no matter the size of the club or fan base. You get to where you are based on merit and unfortunately how much cash you have esp in the premiership
-
That and bad management, poor form, injuries etc..
Yes they are in league one on merit, but they should have the resources and wherewithal to get out quickly..
-
Sunderland are far to big for this league. They can pull crowds of 40 k plus when they got a decent side.
-
Seriously think if they don’t go up this year they’ll be in bother, cattermole is still on 40k amongst others, it’s unsustainable and be interesting how ffp effects it with payments, that’s if they get any??
