Are they in the shop or just online?
-
Just online I think. Ordered mine too.
-
What a cracking idea, thanks for bringing it to our attention watto.
Just ordered 4 for me and my lot.

They are doing these for loads of clubs now. An excellent idea to help raise funds for a fantastic cause.

Although you should also mention that delivery is £3.99 for orders under £50.
-
Get someone to order a load of them - maybe VSC Foodbank (idea ?) - Buy 100 and flog them for say 4.25
Each individiual buyer "saves" the 3.99 postage and so in theory they should not mind paying a bit of a premium and the Foodbank "makes" £125 for a good cause
Sorted - although my figures may need a bit of work !
-
The club are making them available.
-
Aye - struck out the above ! No longer relevant
-
Any idea if these will be going on sale again this year. Have looked but seem to be every team bar rovers?
-
Yeah I looked on the poppy store be great if they are sold provided the money goes where it should so make sure it is Royal British Legion (the link was but there are always people jumping on the bandwagon)
I have e mailed them to enquire about Rovers Poppy badges

It just says "a percentage of profits". I'd hope it's near enough 100% - I know times are tough and we need to explore any money making opportunity that we can but profiting from the sale of something promoting a charity doesn't sit particularly comfortably with me.
EDIT - just realised that looks very critical when it's not clear how much we're passing on to the Legion. I'm glad we're supporting it and the shirt looks great, I just think for something like that we should cover our costs and then maximise what we can raise for the charity - this might already be the case, but the way it's phrased is vague and unclear.
-
Hmmm... commercial problem.
If they tell us what the profit on a shirt is, we learn exactly how overpriced they may be.
Not knocking the idea mind you

They don’t need to tell us what the profit on a shirt is, I’m suggesting that they just donate 100% of it to charity.
-
Surely we have to give all the profit to Royal British Legion, it doesn't feel quite right to me making money for the club on the back of this.

Received this back from the poppy shop
Good Evening
Thank you for your enquiry,
We are sorry you that you cannot find your football club's poppy pin on our website.
We do have to obtain permission from each club to use their crest and unfortunately some clubs do not respond. All clubs that we are selling this year are now live on our website.
Please contact your club and ask them to email poppyshop@linney.com and we will put their request forward for next year's Poppy Appeal.
Kind Regards,
Holly
