Got to be worth at least a chance to show what he can offer. I can’t quite understand how he’s gone from being one of our better players last season, to not getting a look in this season, Fergie must’ve seen something McCann doesn’t see maybe. But creatively he offers so much more than May, and that’s what we look a little bit void of, creativity. Would like to see him used as the plan B next time, surely deserves a chance

Was thinking Taylor needs more than a couple of minutes myself

Agree it's pointless making a sub in 90th min if your doing a like for like sub. Fair enough if your taking off a defender/midfielder for an attacker to get the extra body up top but what's Taylor expected to do in 5mins?

When Rowe is back, I don't think Taylor or Beestin will get much game time at all except probably in the cup competitions IF we progress.

Why would a CM affect one of the front 3 getting into the team?

I've actually been impressed with Taylor in the last couple of games even though he's had little time on the pitch. He's not afraid to shoot and can certainly pick a pass. He might struggle to get through 90 minutes but he deserves more than brief cameos.

DonnyOsmond, because his record here, and his general play constitutes far more threat in front of goal than most of our fringe players who you class as strikers.

That's nice, but Tommy Rowe plays in midfield and both Beestin and Taylor play in the front line. Rowe coming back won't make a difference to those two at all, he will be competing with Blair, Crawford and Anderson for a place.

RA, he is much more effective in the penalty area coming from the left than any of them, and could easily play further forward than any of those player, in old parlance inside left. As could Crawford they are better players.

But McCann plays him in midfield.

But he plays in midfield! This isn't difficult to grasp. He plays as the attacking focal point of the middle three, and also helps to provide balance in that area with his left foot. He is a midfielder, not a forward and thus won't affect whether or not Taylor or Beestin get in the side.
