An up and down article from GM in the Star; he says that two very important players are likely to be missing on Saturday, one a certainty, but hasn't named them.
He also mentions a great display by a very young Rovers side against a very strong Sheff Utd side, including Ben Woodburn and Conor Washington, in a behind closed doors friendly that finished 5-5. He gave particular praise to Blaney, Amos, and Longbottom, saying that some of them might have to step up to the plate.
Does that last sentence give us a clue as to who the injured players are?. I just hope Marquis isn't one of them.

I like Marquis a great deal and see a very astute all round striker....
However..
I would like to see how Wilkes handles the primary role, just to be sure that ..
A,...he is able to step up to the plate
B,... we don’t have to rely solely on the presence of Marquis
Ya never know, with the added responsibility and the freedom of not being the assistant striker may inspire this young Goliath to perform to his best ....and come out from the shadows
Maybe I’m just a dreamer

Happy to see younger players given a chance to impress in the first team if they've earned it. They'll never make it as professionals sitting on the bench or in the stands all the time anyway.
I think we'd know about it if Marquis were injured.

Do you mean if Marquis is injured?

The thing is, who else in the side apart from Marquis would we describe as "very important"?; Copps?, Kane?, Wright?. GM has already said that Butler will be back, so it can't be him.
What a pity it is that Rowe isn't quite ready yet; GM thinks he'll maybe be back for the Chorley game.

Considering the start we've made and the consistency of team selection so far, I'd say most of the team could be deemed an important player to have missing. Marosi, Andrew, Mason, Butler, Wright, Whiteman, Kane, Marquis, Wilks and Coppinger have all played in most games, and Blair has been the consistent 11th man since Rowe got injured.
