The word Christmas should be banned until 1st December.

You would hate Philippines then. Christmas starts with the BER months, so that's SeptemBER the 1st.

You would hate Philippines then. Christmas starts with the BER months, so that's SeptemBER the 1st.

I went to Skeggy a couple of years back and Mrs DW had wanted a trip to Woodthorpe Garden Centre (HQ of Brigg GC) and so on the first Monday which I am sure was 8th September - we entered there and there was a huge strip down going on

Despite the irony of a blazing sun outside - the Staff had assembled lots of black backdrops . rooms and were gradually buiding their Xmas displays - Sept the 8th !

Its everyone to their own of course with no right or wrong but Martin Lewis has a point. Make it for Kids till they are say 16 and Adults have a pact - do not swap any Presents at all. Result - he says - less pressure / less long term debt - much more enjoyable

Mine would be abandon all Christmas Card exchanging and give some (or all) of the Money you save to Charity. I used to do this at work so instead of getting Cards saying for example "To John from Bob - Merry Christmas" I gave a Tenner to Children in Need which I felt was a better thing to do

However as I said its each to their own - and for each person to work out what "works" for them
