Good to see a strong team in a cup game for a change.
-
I'm really liking the bench too. There's chance for a couple to make a mark, esp if we're 5 up at the break..... :coat:
-
1-0 down already!
-
0 - 1 :crying:
-
Free header from a corner ......again
-
Haha Lawlor stood still f**king useless
Marquis didn't win the header again
-
I think those that were queueing up to anoint Marquis as a legend recently really ought to look at his work at defensive corners in recent weeks. McCann and his team really need to do some work with him in terms of his defensive awareness.
-
Well at least you can’t blame Marko this time
-
I dont get.....playing a full strength side but swapping out ur keeper!
-
Just seen it on BBC shocking defending!!!
-

This
He may as well styed on the halfway line for what he did with that goal
-
Can’t be blaming lawlor for that
6ft 6 Centre half with a free header 8 yards out
Pathetic defending
-
When is GM going to sort out our defending at set pieces... Awful
-
Scorer is a part-time physio by day!
-
Watching Lawlor is like watching etheridge again no confidence
-
Looked to me as though Wilks didn’t go with O’Keefe into the box
-
1-1
-
scramble
-
1-1 kane
-
Don’t panic...........another Ebsfleet, (6-2), on the way. Think positive!
-
For anybody with a dodgy Sky box I'm reliably informed the game is on EFL ifollow Chanel 1 for free.

Chanel? Isn’t that a perfume, IDM? 🤦♂️ 😀

Trying to listen on I-Follow app, signal is very poor

Our defending from set pieces leaves a lot to be desired.

Understatement of the century.

Dodgy sky box?

The small alternative.

Thanks, might try that.

Good morning everyone! Early start over here, hope we have our scoring boots on to give us a win.
-
offside goal by Copps, superbly worked though.
-

-
Really good chance for Matty two bites as well!
-
Some cool work by Lawlor with his feet under pressure. Doing well.

-
We seem to be giving away a lot of corners, perhaps someone who is there can confirm?
-
Danny Andrew having a bad spell, messing up crosses and giving them the ball. He needs to wake up!
-
Off the post from Wilks!
-
2-1 Chorley, pathetic defending again!
-
Sh*t! 2-1 down!
-
FFS 2 - 1
-
f**king hell does Lawlor know how to dive!!
-
A great goal was that, deserved. We are playing so slow. Could easily be winning if we were on top of our game.
Rubbish Rovers
-
Should have been 2-1 up now 2-1 down Lawlor stood still again but come though a crowd of players so understandable
-
Chorley now favourites to win
-
Big second half coming up
-
2-1 down at half time having had the majority of the possession, it is getting embarrassing how we are too slow on the attack and defend poorly.
-
If we lose this think questions need to be asked of not only the manager but also the players. Not good enough
-
Their second goal was a cracking finish in off the inside of the post, I'm not surprised Lawlor was rooted for that. The first was utterly shocking defending by Marquis from a corner again. Both teams have hit the post. We've had one saved off the line from Blair (I think), and Copps had one ruled offside (he was a good few yards off, no question).
-
Chorley now favourites to win
Maybe they are now..........but it will be still be Rovers in Round 2. Think positive for gawds sake! 😀
-
Interesting to see on the half time analysis that Kane hadn't won one tackle.
-
I see a few slagging Lawlor, really? - Marquis lost his marker for the first goal (again) and he had no chance with the second
-
when Rovers are in the 5th round of the facup let's look back at this
there are 8 fa cup matches on at the moment and the higher rated team is winning in only one Fleetwood
guiseley 2 worldies winning
-
Wilkes tracking of the man for the first goal was pathetic
-
Watching game not impressed at all.our defence looking extremely dodgy.not a lot happening when we go forward not pressuring them.lets hope for improvement second half.
-
Keep calm. Our superior, professional fitness is going to see us through.
Once again, don’t forget Ebsfleet a couple of years ago, when we were in a similar position.
-
As for Marquis and Wilkes losing the scorer, it depends on whether you think they should be marking a man 35 yards out at a corner. The scorer started his run a good 15 yards outside of the area. Marquis was just marking space and had little chance jumping against a guy who was running in to meet the cross.
-
may on for Blair going balls out last act of a desperate man

Wilkes without a doubt should track that man or at least blocking the run
-
just laid chorley @5/4
-
I remember when Scarboro' knocked us out of the FA Cup, the pitch was a quagmire and even Paul Barnes couldn't save us. Unless I'm wrong, I think Scarboro' were the last non-league team to knock us out of the FA Cup?
-
Should have had a penno, foul on Copps
-

Not quite. Exeter the following season also beat us while they were in the Conference
-
There haven't been many. It's one thing we seem to have avoided over the years. Even under Maurice Setters we went to Oswestry and won.

Have just watched it again. Wilkes would have no chance of blocking the run without conceding a penalty. Sometimes you just have to credit the scorer. That was a great run from deep - very difficult to pick up unless this had been identified as a tactic when we've had them watched.
-
Should have been a pen on Kane shocking
-
Sending off for a dirty bas**rd from Chorley
-
Clear pen as well as a sending off
-

Only 5 times have we lost to a non-league club while we were a league club, including twice before WW2
We have also lost to non-league teams twice in the AMC while we were a league club.
-
yeh hasn't given the pen though. don't know how the ref gets that wrong...he was about 6 yards away!
-
That’s shocking from the ref! Clearly inside the box
-
Penalty all day long, leg breaker of a challenge
-
Dutch, thanks for the correction. I thought there was another team after Scarboro' to knock us out, but I couldn't remember who.
-
He can see the skid marks were inside the box. FA Cup giant killing refs decision! Appalling.
-
Problem is we don’t look like scoring
-
We've got to make the extra man count, they will tire.
-
This is simply not good enough, we need a clear out in Jan. I'm just hoping we can stay up this season but I'm not hopeful in the slightest at the moment. It looks like the good work DF did do is being unravelled at a rate of knots
-
Yep, awful ref hands them the advantage,
-
We can’t be blaming the ref for failing to beat a part time side
-
About bloody time! 2-2
-
Awesome from Kane! :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
Well, I admit we should be on top but decisions change fortunes
-
Bbc catching up,wahay
-
What a strike that was! WOW!
-
What a goal from Herbie
-
how are you able to see the goals?
-
Kane hat-trick, anyone?
-

Using this link from earlier in the thread. :)

-
What the hell is Whiteman doing that for right in front of the red??
-
Another booking for mouthing off, idiot Whiteman!
-
Not a clue. We do seem to have a discipline\stupidity problem this season.
-
let's hope a championship doesn't sign Herbie on loan after a goal like that knew exactly what he was doing
-
how are you able to see the goals?
It's on BBC 2
-
how are you able to see the goals?
Simple, they're on BBC 2.
-
Another penalty not given
-
Clear penalty and clearly in the area this time
-
I thought it was a dive from the replays.
-
I thought I saw connection, but obviously the ref didn't
-
Avoiding the giant killing so far thanks to the sending off
-
It feels like we lost, a pathetic display, too pedestrian, defending poor, we let a lower league side dictate the pace of the game.
-
Well they earned a replay - not sure whether I’m referring to Rovers or Chorley though :)
-
Avoiding the giant killing so far thanks to the sending off
Why was it thanks to the sending off?? Listening to the game doncaster were all over them anyway in the second half without scoring until Kane got the second..
-
Poor. It's now been a month since we last won a game too.
-
Their player on BBC saying the sending off foul left a mark in the penny area - how does a ref miss that? Anyway, lets see how good they are atthekeepmoat
-

Do you know what? I don’t give a stuff how we performed. It’s the FA Cup, non-League clubs obviously raise their levels and they will win all the plaudits going. But they didn’t win the game, and we can look forward to the replay with confidence and a cool £36,000 in prize money.
You Reds!

A sliding tackle that caught the player outside the box, but carried on inside? Just wondering.

No.
-
just laid chorley @5/4
well my bank manager's happy
never thought i'd ever be laying Chorley
I've thought about that kane goal and it was simply impossible to stop end of good enough to win a champions league final

We have the advantage of TV replays which show it all definitely happened just inside the box. If the referee actually looked at skidmarks (which I have doubts about) then he may have misinterpreted it as you say.
-
Another classic refereeing performance. Let’s not take it away from Chorley though. They did well.

I doubt the ref even checked the player's underpants.
-
I think we can consider ourselves fortunate to still be in the cup after that.
All over the place defensively, as per usual. They ran us ragged in the first half. How many games without a clean sheet is it now?
Could barely find a way past a non-league side who had 10 men for half an hour. Painful to watch.
Herbie Kane was the only player on the pitch who looked like a professional footballer. Thank f**k he had his shooting boots on.
Embarrassing performance. Crap result, but could've been worse.
-
We’ve got weeks without Wright the manager and his staff have got get these players playing better defensively.
They have got make sure we are more clinical infront of goal. If we continue playing Wilks, as we’ve not got anybody better, then the management team have got to get more out of him.
The good thing is Herbie Kane as added goals to his game. On the other side if he continues to improve and our form overall continues to decline we will lose him in January.
-
"Herbie Kane, remember the name"

I thought the whole tackle and foul were inside the box - just..
