Mourinho sacked by Man U.
-
Shame, he was doing a great job. Hopefully the miserable t**t buggers off abroad.
-
Thanks for that - yahoo - made my day sad as I am
Probably last straw was not drawing worst Team left in Champions League
Downside - they might will get someone better
-
How he lasted this long has baffled me, publicly slating your players, setting up defensivly with the worst defence ever. I bet Pogba is doing a little jig now, and Lukaku must be thinking he has to cut the pies out now and go in a diet
-
b*llocks.
Just when McCann was settling in...
-
According to the BBC site, one of the comments suggested Gary Megson as Mourinho’s successor! I wonder if the poster also contributes to the Vikings’ Forum?

I will gladly do it for FREE - as long as I got an 18 month Contract BUT I would step aside GLADLY if Marcelo Bielsa wants the job !
2 Birds with one stone springs to mind !
-
Mourhino to Leeds that should sort out anybdreams they have
-
Been living on his name for 4 years.
-
Man Citys fault for "buying" the Title (something Man U have NEVER done)
-
Moyes, Van gaal, Mourinho - they aren't shit managers overnight. Which suggests the manager isn't the problem there....
-
I’m actually quite disappointed - I was enjoying the shit show that was their season. I’m not sure the malaise is entirely down to Mourinho but surely somebody can do better with the talent that’s available there?
-
Caretaker to the end of the season. Then new manager over the summer
-
Fergie jnr is a shoe in 😀

Fergie jnr is a shoe in 😀
That’s the real reason why he left Rovers. ;)

Crikey, if they think Mourinho was boring..........

Santa Claus is free after next tuesday.
-
Aye but think of how much it'll cost to bring in his backroom team.
-
Getting rid of mourinho isnt going to solve Man Us problems just look at how they've acted today.
1st they announce he's gone
Then that Carricks in charge until the end of season
Then that they meant Carricks in charge for 48 hours before a caretaker takes over.
Then "No its not nicky Butt" its someone external (because no one in our highly paid coaching staff is worth even a caretaker position)
Then "its not Wenger..... or that bloke in the jungle".
Its as if their PR strategy is to reacted to last thing someones said on twitter.
And whilst they've been saying "thanks for your service Jose" their tallismanic best outfielder has posted a pic of himself smirking with raised eyebrows. Man Us lack of response on that (making Pogba explain himself or at least reassuring Man U fans they'll be seeking clarification as to what he meant by it) has created a vaccum that has been filled by ex players and fans telling him to F off.
The days of us enjoying Man Us fall from grace are a long long way from over dont wirry about that.

So am I - see Reply#6 ! Bet they wont call me though :( :( :(

His sacking is costing Manure £18million.
I don’t suppose JM will be desperate for another job just yet.
-
Long overdue. It's always been about him!
They will prosper now as the relief will be palpable!
Ryan Giggs as caretaker?
-
Fergie jnr is a shoe in 😀
I'm sure Pogba and Sanchez would be much more appreciative of Jose after being played in Fergie Jr's trademark wingback position for half a season.

Just read it will be more like £4.1/2m

I took the £18m figure from the bbc sport website.

The managerial payoff stories that the media put out are generally a load of b*llocks. There’s usually a clause in the contracts stating a payoff figure.
-
Mourinho's been shite for 2/3 years now. Saying that though United have a lot of bang average players. Look at their defence, its mid-table quality at best.

Ryan Giggs as caretaker?
I don't think Ryan Giggs will want to give up his Wales job for a caretaker role anywhere. Apparently it's going to be Blanc for the rest of this season and then Zidane or Pochettino look like the frontrunners.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen this already...

Michael Carrick is a natural shoe-in for caretaker manager.
could be a very good one as well.
-
They have been saying all day on the radio that Carrick won't be the caretaker so I reckon you are right foxbat!
-
Carrick has n’t got a pro licence

Brilliant edit by Swedemason.

BBC evening news saying that JMs payoff is £22m.

He wants a shoeing.

Solskjaer . didn't see that one coming.
very interesting appointment.
may turn out to be good WAP.

Manure will probably see a slight upturn in results due to the new manager syndrome but they don’t have good enough quality in the side to bother the top six long term.
-
I've got no love for Manyoo but I hope Lingard gets used better. He could be an important player for England but at his age you'd think he's almost done developing. The last few years he's been criminally wasted by Jose.
-
If I heard right, they, (Man U), have already had a result with getting shut of JM. Share value has increased by 160 million £.

Not sure about that - Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Martial are all top quality players on their day. If a new manager gets them playing again then surely they’re better than Everton/Wolves/West Ham or whoever else has their eye on 6th spot. Liverpool and Man City look a class apart this season, and the gap is arguably already too big to get close to Spurs/Chelsea/Arsenal (although the latter may be catchable) but a strong second half to the season and a few decent summer signings and I’d expect them to put up much more of a challenge for the top 4 next season.
-
Compare them to ourselves and just see how the same players perform.under a different manager, !!!

Lukaku is quality when fit, at the moment he’s about 2st overweight

I didn’t say they didn’t have, ANY quality in the side.
I just suggested that they don’t have enough of it.

I knew that mate.
I just linked Nicks post with yours, as you had also mentioned Lukaku.

Do you think that there’s more quality in Everton’s/Wolves’/anyone else who might finish 6th’s squad?

To be fair Nick, I should have put top five, not top six.
I don’t pay too much attention to the PL these days and hadn’t realised that ManU were in sixth place.
