Noticed we have scored 58 goals already this season (all comps) before xmas, would love to know the last time we did this. Must be a bloody long time ago. Maybe Dutch Uncle can help.

Cant fault our attacking play.

It's great to see, first time in a long time we've looked so threatening as an attacking unit.

How many goals had we scored by the same stage two years ago? We did score a lot of goals in League 2 but I feel we had a squad superior to the level which is one of the main reasons why. This year, our playing style and the way McCann has maximised the abilities of his squad are the main reasons behind our goalscoring success.

I think this year's 58 is the highest since 1946-47 when we had scored 64 League and 9 FA Cup goals before New Year.

Two years ago we had scored 45 league plus 7 other competitions by New Year

12% came in a single game. Would be better comparison only including league games.

Working backwards to WW2, seasons with 40 league goals by New Year:

2016-17: 45 league goals scored in 23 games
2003-04: 45 in 24
2002-03: 43 in 25 (Conference)
2001-02: 42 in 24 (Conference)
1975-76: 43 in 23
1964-65: 44 in 25
1963-64: 40 in 26
1956-57: 56 in 26
1955-56: 47 in 25
1946-47: 64 in 21
