Half way through the season and we are in seventh place.
I have to be honest and say that is better than I expected.
GM has got us playing good football and has turned an average team into one which is challenging for the play-offs.
But can we make it? There are some strong teams in this league this season: Portsmouth, Sunderland, Barnsley, Luton....
So if we are to gatecrash the top six and make the play-offs, whose place can we take?
I would target Peterborough. I reckon we can overtake them.

I don't like setting targets, at least one of those teams will have a worse second half to the season than the first, injuries, loss of form, transfer of players in the next month, there are so many variables.
The first thing is to get to 50+ points and take it from there, if we keep our present form up to the end of the season we have every chance of having a better second half to the season, and finishing in the top six. then you have to play your best in the playoffs, which are another competition with all the teams in them having a good chance of winning it, and not always does the best team win.

Good football, players playing in positions where they can perform, clear tactical vision, players who are putting in the effort, confidence we can take on and match the very best - will settle for what we have achieved so far, yes.

On the plus side, we're just four wins off safety.

We have enough in our tank to give others concern.
There is no reason to believe that we can’t make a top six finish.
All of our rivals could have a bad run, opening the door for someone else to step in.
Our squad has proven to be good enough so far and we are allegedly strengthening in January.
