Awful defending

God forbid.

I like Marquis but he was very poor for there second goal, granted Anderson made a poor header which is a glaring mistake but Marquis never even challenged for the ball from the goal kick. Mistakes can be excused, not being arsed can’t in my book..

Anyone know when Mason and Wright are back? Wright seems to have been out for ages. Now would be a good time to get them back in.

Anderson at fault for all three? Looks like it to me.

Very harsh, it was Cummings man who got the first, unless you are blaming Anderson for not heading the cross away even though it was six feet over his head when it went past him.

Not sure how you can blame him for the third either.
Ok, it was his man who laid the ball off on halfway but there was plenty still to do and no way could he have got back to stop the scorer from finishing.
Usain Bolt isn’t that quick.

Cummings was ball watching for the first, and let the player get across him, I don't even know if he knew he was behind him, the second he didn't get enough on the ball, but like the second the third goal was when we were losing the second ball all the time in midfield, which led to the build up of both goals, and they were on the front foot.
Whiteman was continually giving the ball away, but nobody covered themselves in glory, one of those games when we were off the boil as a team,
It happens, move on, we are not the best team in the world, but this result does not mean we are the worst either.

Yeah not sure how it’s Anderson’s fault for the first

This is harsh in my opinion. It wasn't laziness, it looks to me as if Marquis misjudged the flight of the ball and the Fleetwood player attacked it, Marquis should probably have been more aware of the opponent but it's an error, not him giving up.

I also think it's a tad harsh of Barmby to say all three goals are Anderson's fault? First goal is Cummings and nobody else, lovely cross mind, the second sure that's a bad mistake but the third, he doesn't do well enough but his contribution is on the halfway line, there's plenty that still needs to be done by Fleetwood from there and they simply cut through a Rovers side that had understandably accepted defeat by that very late stage of the game.

Whatever you do, do not show GM that! If that is truly what you are saying we did, then the lot of 'em want transfer listing.

You know what I mean, 2-0 down in injury time the levels just weren't there.

Goal 1 who is the central defender completely out of place letting a dangerous centre forward have a free run to head in a goal? Goal 2 Which central defender cannot head a ball back to his goalie? Goal 3 Which central defender has pushed right up the field leaving the defence open and then loses the ball with a bad pass?

Goals 1 & 2 Anderson is isolated, dragged across however, Cummings should not have let the scorer come across him from the blind side for the first. Second, where was Butler? Again Anderson isolated and made a poor decision to try to head it back to Lawlor however had Butler been alongside him, it's a routine header square to him.

To repeat, it was Cummings who didn’t pick up the runner for the first goal, nothing to do with Anderson.
Second goal, no dispute.
Third goal, Anderson pushes up to head away a long ball, it gets played back into his area.
Do you want him dropping deep to allow Fleetwood to push on to us.
Anderson doesn’t touch the ball when it comes back towards him so I don’t know how you can say he plays a bad pass.
If you are looking for someone to blame for the third goal, take a look at Kane who lets his man run past him before scoring.

Hound, said at the time Kane let a player run goal side of him, poor full back defending, hence my Kane is no fullback statement.

The third goal was irrelevant really. We were pushing men forward as we were 2-0 down so we were going all out to score and inevitably left gaps at the back. At that stage we were always open to the counter attack.
Games gone now let’s move on to the next one.

I was screaming offside at the time and unless I am unclear of the rules I still think it was offside.
When the Fleetwood clearance was hoofed forward he was at least 5 yards offside, had he not have been there Anderson could have let the ball run through but instead he misplayed the ball which the attacker latched onto and squared for the goal.
He was in an offside position when the initial ball was played and gained an advantage from it.

Anderson by playing the ball means he is onside,if he hadn’t touched it he would of been off if the striker had touch or made an attempt to go for the ball
