I will kick it off with Millwall away and Southend at home both brilliant games by him and everyone
-
Was that millwall away in Feb 2008, won 3-0?
Can’t top the Southend game however..
-
Southend. Best display by any Rovers player I've seen, in a hugely important fixture.
-
2010/11 season, scored a hat trick against Norwich always remember that as a good Copps performance

Was that 3 or 4-0

Almost everybody thinks Southend but I remember after the match my mate formerly Exiled in Wiltshire saying to me “I know he scored a great hattrick but other than that I didn’t think he had a particularly good game”
I thought it was a funny statement which he will probably argue now he never made
-
Barnsley away for me they couldn’t handle him and ended with 9 men, closely followed by Southend
-
He's had many a good game but in terms of greatness, taking the occasion into account, it has to be Southend. O"Driscoll's face tells you that. It was an inspired performance that was way above the standard of League One and THE best hat-trick I've seen in the flesh. Not seen many better period!
His second goal alone was world class!

4-0 we played brilliant

I was at the Feb 08 game and that was definitely 3-0..
I was also at that Barnsley game, they couldn’t handle Copps that day either..
-
Before the Southend game he had only scored three goals the entire season. In one - very high pressure game - he scored as many as he did int the previous 40-odd games.

Was definitely 3-0 https://www.11v11.com/matches/millwall-v-doncaster-rovers-02-february-2008-280267/ (https://www.11v11.com/matches/millwall-v-doncaster-rovers-02-february-2008-280267/)
I also agree with Southend, they couldn't get anywhere near him

O Driscoll’s face summed up what we all felt that day......Wembley had just been rubber stamped, and we had Coppinger in OUR team.....🍾

Yes I was at both also definitely 3-0 at Millwall.
But the Southend game has to go down as his finest hour or hour & half to be precise.
The importance of the occasion alone does it for me. And what a hat trick. Superlative.

His best touch was at Brentford.
-
Southend game, without a doubt.

His best touch was at Brentford.
I thought he nearly miss controlled it, if I'm honest!
-
Southend for me. Huge occasion. On TV. And the next hat-trick you’re ever likely to see in your life. Untouchable.
-
Southend for me too given the quality of the hat- trick and the importance of the game. All 3 goals could have been scored against any top class team too. There were many other great performances too over the years
Another contender was the hat- trick against Norwich in 2010 - he frightened them to death and of course the Millwall game where once again he couldn't put a foot wrong.
There are other great games where it was all about his quality as a " controller " of games against supposedly much better teams.

Slightly off on a tangent - is Copps now the most experienced player still playing?

Dean Lewington.

Yes, Lewington is only two games away from making his 600th League appearance for MK Dons. He's also only 34 and could play on another 3-4 seasons.
