Great stuff. 👍

Wonderful news all round! I don't know why this has taken so long, but with the present situation of the Belles I hope that they didn't drop whatever was troublesome for them in previous negotiations simply because they were "desperate" in any way.
-
Brilliant news, let this be Day Zero for the revival of the Belles!
-
Absolutely delighted with this news.
-
Hopefully the first step back to where they belong. 🙂
I'd love them to beat the big clubs and win the cup again.
-
Will it affect the rovers in any way ie money for transfers

No, absolutely not.

Come on folks
I’m embarrassed they had to go to Rossington
We have let them down but now maybe they can grow again
Obviously there is more to it
But well done Rovers
Eventually

We didn't let them down, but fingers could be pointed.

Great news however, it's been made extremely difficult for them to get back to the top flight but let's hope they go a long way to ruffling of few feathers of those at the top table.

Have no interest in rugby union and am not advocating this - but the Doncaster Knights are the only pro/semi pro side not under Club Doncaster now? Maybe the hockey folks are semi pro.

I have a copy of Peter Davies’ excellent book published in 1996 ,I lost my heart to the Belles ‘ It is a most interesting biography of the Belles and is full of colourful descriptions of the players who did the town proud . 1994/team Debbie Biggins goalkeeper ,part-time waitress ,Michelle Jackson, sweeper ,treasurer ,assistant bank manager .Mandy Lowe ,right back, pottery worker , Anne Liseman centre half ,policewoman JoannebBroadhurst ,forklift driver ,midfield etc etc
Today’s Belles are also part timers living and working in the community .We should support them.

Got that book too, had a skim through the other day by sheer coincidence as it was to hand and needed to show my son a Belle Vue photo. I also had the VHS of the documentary done a year or so before that gets mentioned in the book. May be in a box somewhere but maybe not given how long ago the got replaced by DVD's.
As an aside whatever happened to Pete Davies? Along with this book and "All Played Out" he wrote a couple of crackers in the 90's.

I Lost My Heart to The Belles is one of the best football books written. Pete Davies gets a huge amount of kudos for All Played Out, but his season spent following the Belles is compelling as it is fascinating. If you've not read it I hugely encourage picking up a copy - it often appears pretty cheap on Amazon.
Pete Davies is still writing from what I understand although not as prolifically or as high profile - he's on twitter but doesn't post often.
