Title: Perfect day at the keep moat
Post by: Paul Simpson on March 30, 2019, 07:13:11 pm
What a great result and enjoyable match that was. 3 great goals and all under sunshine and blue skies. It was worth the money just to watch Malik conjure his magic!! Happy days 😀👍⚽️

Possibly the nerviest 3-1 win I’ve witnessed but hey-ho, that was a huge win and what a week we’ve had since the loss at Luton.

We needed a positive reaction. I said on this forum after the doom and gloom of Luton that we had a good chance to bag 6 points and be in a very different place by Saturday evening.

Job done.

Nervy at times, yes.
However at this stage of the season results are far more important that performances.

I wasn't nervous at all. I really enjoyed the game. Walsall are a decent side and we controlled the game for large spells and could easily have hit 5 or 6 today. The only comment I'll pass is that for the first 15 mins of the 2nd half we just seemed to want to hoof it up top, whereas our best spells were when we built play on the deck and pulled Walsall all over the place. Walsall were always going to come out of the blocks for the start of the 2nd half and I think we played into their hands a bit..

Yes Rob, I thought there were some unbelievably naive moments from the lads in that 2nd half.  Really should show more intelligence than they did.
