Title: Ali Crawford
Post by: Branton Rover on April 01, 2019, 08:25:43 am
Delighted with the maturity of the lads game over the previous 2 matches - I must admit when he arrived I didn’t have a clear understanding of his game & how he’d fit into a 4-3-3 system - having said that he’s slotted in seamlessly into midfield anchor role & shown his intelligence as a footballer knowing when to come out with the ball & when to sit in

If he learns how to tackle he can become a very good player.
As a midfielder he does need to improve that part of his game imo.
But agree he and Tommy Rowe have stood up and be counted in the absence of Whiteman and Kane.

I thought they both struggled in those positions on Saturday in the first half, but grew into the game..

Not Crawford’s fault he has to play out of position but he’s contributed to two great wins and that makes a big difference..

Needs to spend summer eating steaks. Good player but frail for a central midfielder and if we do go up, there are plenty of big lads in Championship who will bully him.

Really impressed wit Crawford on Saturday, used the ball really well especially in the second half and made some really important touches at both ends of the pitch. Good to see Rowe playing well too.
