Like a lot more in their 60s and 70s they were born a bit too early to cash in like some lesser and younger players have recently.

It was a really moving report.My dad has dementia. It tears everybody up. Hope we get a cure one day.

He was class for us, I was always surprised how good he was in the air, certainly not the tallest centre half - good luck to him and his family

Him and Jack Ashurst were a good cb pair when Billy Bremmner was rebuilding a potentially good side.

For me too,certainly in the days when we was a club with little money.Think we conceded the least goals in our league when we had them 2.Did'nt see the news,but very sad to hear about,good luck Brendan,hope you can make a good recovery and thank you for the great days watching you play for Rovers.

He had his stroke five years ago. The article was about the strain it’s put on him and his wife. A very sad story to watch

Where? I can't find that in the e-mail blast nor anywhere on here. I don't think it's accurate anyway, maybe some confusion with Reece Nicholson perhaps?
