It also looks that Hassani will be on the bench tonight as he’s not involved this afternoon.

Ben only played 1st half so maybe on the bench if needed I would guess as long as he doesn’t have a bad reaction then will be fine

I’d say that’s very very unlikely.

He needs to be rested. We did just fine while he was out. A fully fit Whiteman for the playoffs would be fantastic.

Give over
You don’t play someone in a game a few hours before, if you think he might play

A lot better from him tonight, but the team as a whole, is way off the pace, especially in the first half of the last 2 games

He clearly wasn't fit enough on Friday so played earlier today to see how he could cope. If we were playing OK he probably wouldn't have even come on. I'm sure McCann didn't go into today thinking we'll play so shit in the first half we'll need to bring on Whiteman.

Im not sure what McCann is thinking these days tbh. What he did with Whiteman is unusual to say the least and some of his team selections ate baffling. Wtf does he see in May?

I hear he's good in training.

In fairness Accrington played three midgets up front but didn't ping balls to the smallest man up against a giant defender. Play on the floor and May might be a bit more effective. He might not but maybe.....

Billy Kee might be short but he kept winning headers against Anderson, a clever forward he is.

Of course not, we didn’t have 8 men behind the ball which made it nay on impossible to play through them.

Must have watched a different game to me because I though that's all they did all night. The only two occasions they played the ball along the floor they scored.

I do admit to showing more interest in the helicopter flying overhead and the bat in the south stand than the match at times.

Surely there is no physio in the game that would recommend a player playing twice in a day like he did. If he had pulled up lame in the second game McCann and the physio staff would have looked unbelievably foolish.

Gaz, I cannot imagine it was planned, but it definitely became a necessity as the game progressed that night.
It was like starting a game with eight men.

Yes he did, he won most in fact & what he didn't win he drew a foul. I don't believe he would have as much joy against Butler though, he doesn't miss many headers.

But didn’t he only play 45mins in the afternoon and at nowhere near the intensity of a 1st team game. My guess it was used as fitness test for the Accrington gam knowing that he wouldn’t be playing the full game, if at all if the result had gone our way

I thought Ben was one of the few players to emerge from Tuesday night with any credit whatsoever to be honest.

Blair also put in a shift as he always does, and Sadlier changed the game when he came on.

The whole group needs to get their heads right for the final two games. We have the ability to get 4 points from these two games, and that should be enough.
