So it was great to see this tweet from our next PM yesterday.

Except, as someone later pointed out, there weren't any elections in London, where Johnson lives.
Johnson then deleted that tweet.
God help us...

To be fair, the tweet was probably created by ‘his people’ rather than him. However, this doesn’t disguise the fact that he’s a prick.

.... and it shows what a barrel scraping , hopeless devoid of any integrity we are in Politic wise if he can still be thought of as PM material
Good god - what a complete mess we are in

This, which can be said for all the main politicians.
The real fun will be the European elections I feel. Not many can be happy with local election results so far tonight and it just shows how people are fed up with clowns such as Boris. Farage will be licking his lips for the Euro elections, indeed the only political campaigning I have seen recently has been pro brexit types (near Scunthorpe).

BFYP.
Aye. I'm sure Farage is as happy as a pig in shit.
And so will be the people bankrolling his new party.
He reckons it's being funded by thousands of donations from ordinary people.
Interestingly, under British electoral law, any donation to a political party of £500 or under, can be made anonymously. It's illegal to take money from anyone outside the UK, but if the payment is below this limit, there's no way the Electoral Commission can check.
Of course, a principled party would want to confirm that their donors were British. They could do this by insisting on payments coming from a UK bank, or a UK credit card. And they could reject anyone from outside the UK trying to contribute.
Guess what? The Brexit Party website has been highlighting the fact that £500 donations can be anonymous. And they are collecting payment through PayPal, which means they have no record of where the payments have come from.
Patriots? My f**king arse. Once again, Farage is acting as a facilitator for foreign money to be funnelled into British politics.

Not just pro-Brexit BFYP, most Remainers I know will be voting for the Brexit Party. If people think the 2 main parties have been thrashed today, just wait until May 23rd. It will be an absolute humiliation.
-
Why would pro-Remain people vote for the Brexit Party? Surely the sensible thing would be to vote for one of the country's established parties that is pro-Remain, such as the Liberal Democrats or the Greens, as we have seemed to see in yesterday's council elections across the country.
I do agree though that the Big 2 could be in for a humiliation on a grand scale at those European elections. The Change UK and Brexit parties will no doubt curry even more support in them, joining the parties who contested the council elections with stellar results.

Nothing to do with wanting to remain Alias; they're disgusted with how the Referendum result has been disrespected, and how Brexit voters have been tarnished with insults.
-
What noble friends you have SS.
And rare. I've seen lots of people saying that, but when push came to shove and folk got a chance to actually vote yesterday, it's the pro-Remain parties that have significantly over-performed.

Come on Billy, you'll have to do better than that; the Brexit Party didn't even stand. All leavers could do was abstain, most of whom probably did.

I'm a bit confused then Steve because why would "Remainers" be bothered by the referendum result not being "respected"? Since remainers want it overturned, by and large?
The insults and mud-slinging has, both on a small scale and the national level, been just as bad from both sides in my opinion.
The European election results will be extremely interesting to see.

I voted Lib Dem in the council elections but there’s no way I’d vote for them in a GE. I also voted leave in the referendum and hoped that we’d be out by now. I would probably vote Labour at the next GE as I believe they’re better for the country overall. However I am disappointed by the internal factions within the Labour Party who are pushing for a second referendum.

I voted Conservative in the council election as the only other choice was Labour or Green. Despite the fact that on the national stage they have been useless I didn't fancy my council tax going through the roof with the other lot.
For the parish council I spoilt my ballot paper because in the main they are a bunch of middle class busy bodies with an over inflated opinion of themselves.
