Hi Guys,
First visit to the ground and have to say I really enjoyed the visit. Met a few of you and have to say all decent, honest fans. Decent little ground, support was a bit lacking but our home games haven't been too dissimilar, although it should be better Friday.
Read a few posts today and you seem an honest and reasonable bunch. Been very fair, we are certainly favourites and I am confident we will see the job out, but anything can happen and you are not out of it.
Typically tense play off game today I thought. Flashes of quality but not for any real length of time. I thought 2-1 was just about fair, we definitely had a few good chances to go 3-0 up which would have ended the tie. Made a few defensive subs which invited pressure. I wasn't really fearful of you scoring but fair play for going to the end and getting the goal. Could be a massive moment in the tie.
I wish you absolutely no luck on Friday but I will definitely be keeping an eye on you if we go up next season.

Nice of you to drop by... on your way to the Championship.
2-1 was was about right, nicely setting up the over confidence for Friday. I think your boys will shoot their load early doors then flop from the pressure as the game goes on. Enjoy!

If only that free kick was an inch or two lower, might have been a different game then

We'll see, I don't think Bowyer will let us be overconfident. Your late goal might have even worked as a wake up call.
If we defend like we have over the last few months we should be ok.

Fascinating tie it really is , I support the other lot 12 miles away so I'm not so emotionally involved although I want Rovers to win .
I'll be interested to see how Charlton go in to the home leg a goal to the good , does Bowyer stick or does he twist ?
The longer this game stays at 0-0 the more the pressure will start to kick in , drop deeper perhaps and invite Rovers on .
It gets to 70 minutes and it will become anxious with that big crowd , which can also work the other way and against you too .
Looking forward to it .

For sure it would Filo.
As we know, the first goal in a game is vital.
Our confidence drained for a while after we went behind.

Thats true, and as daft as it sounds the Charlton second goal came about because we were rattled from the first

I met Steve Gallen and a colleague in the car park getting out of their white Range Rover. They seemed really nice guys.
The Charlton fans were outstanding, they never stopped singing for over 2 hours.
1-2 was a fair result as I felt their quality showed through most of the game, not that I am suggesting Rovers played at all badly. I suspect the away game will be more of the same.
Hopefully the success of this season will release a few extra pounds for a more concerted push next season. McCann is the man to do it.
