Sounds like they are in a right old "Richardson style" pickle. Plymouth have so far pledged £1000 to BOB which is brilliant despite them not being my favourite club. If we lose teams like this then god help all of us...oh by the way just going to renew my Man City season ticket..I have had enough of this lower league drivel.. :)

It surprises me how bigger teams like City and United especially being in that area can’t give them a bit of cash to help out. £10,000 to City is pennies.

That's like expecting Tesco to help out the corner shop. Every little helps when it comes to building a steamroller of a fanbase.

Back in the 1980’s Ron Atkinson would regularly take his Man U team to play friendlies at clubs that were facing financial problems. I recall them taking the first team to Swansea when they were broke, mid season too!

Seriously mate I think Bury's plight deserved better than that. I remember Rotherham not being interested in us in 1998, and it does hurt when you are down as we well know who were there then.. but hey what do I know?
