Don’t really know what got me thinking of this but, names of players that could be both used as Christian names.
Tim Ryan
Reece James
Danny Amos
Danny Andrew

What’s strange is they were/are all left backs for us.
Gareth Roberts would be there if he didn’t have s on the end of Roberts

I wrote an article some years ago on this theme, inspired by Swansea actually having a full team of players with Christian names as surnnames (players like Robbie and Leighton James, Alan Curtis, Jeremy Charles, Tommy Craig, David Giles, Dai Lewis, Gary Stanley, DAvid Stewart and more)

My all time Rovers such team was (allowing for slight mispellings/plurals) :

Harry Gregg
Brian Kelly, Graeme Lee, Lee Warren, Tim Ryan
Fabien Robert, Gareth Owen, Bobby Herbert, Jamie Lawrence
Alick Jeffrey, Brian Deane

Subs from (among others):

Surely he would at least get on the bench.
Although a Jeffery/Jeffrey forward line would be interesting.
I once spoke to Alick many years ago and he rated Mike Jeffrey very highly.

Absolutely no need at all for any apology Spilsby, I was not hinting at any ownership or feeling usurped.  It was several years ago, long forgotten, and it is very well worth re-raising. Thank you for doing so.  :thumbsup:
