Am I right in thinking he'd be only the second manager in 34 years to be poached from us, since Bremner went to Leeds? The other one being Saunders.
Those two aren't very good omens Grant me old spadger. One never managed again after getting sacked. The other only ever managed us again, after getting sacked.

and like then we have no say in the out come because he wanted to leave and McCann is no different and if he stays , the fact that a bigger club came in will never leave lips of others looking to do the same particularly if we have another good season .

We were, agree it set us back big time losing Billy.
I don’t think GM will go to Hull, I would be astonished if he took that job. Could set his personal management career back big time.
Yes it’s always a risk moving jobs bit i think this is a risk he would be foolish to take.
You are at a good club Grant. Success here will enhance your CV and you will get the chance to get a ‘big’ job later. Or you could stay with Rovers and help establish us in the 2nd tier.
Think that last option is your best bet. :thumbsup:

If he does go and looking at the situation and timeframes etc etc,I would be tempted to offer the job to Cliff Byrne.He's well respected at the job he does for us,knows the system and the chance to be a manager might stop him going with Grant...Of course people would moan about it being the cheap option but it would make a lot of sense right now.

Maybe not, this is the first job they have had together

He might but the prospect of being a manager might be enough to stay..He's a very underated part in the managerial set up..
