The new favourite! Bizzare
-
I'm sure the bookies just keep throwing different names into the ring to keep people interested enough to put money on
-
Bizzare is a Good word to describe Steve Evans!!!!
-
Now 6/4
-
What price is Keano then.
-
Someones put a bet on evans
Thats all it means, at this stage the bookies know nothing so everytime some puts a bet on anyone the odds shorten. They are trying to cover someone knowing more than they do.
-
Jesus, down further to nearly evens. Surely the board wouldn’t entertain him.
-
Can’t see him as someone our board would be keen on. Plus only became gills manager a few weeks ago
-
Has he managed Peterborough before? Tick
-
Now 6/4
There is no way our board would be daft enough to even give him a thought. They must be aware how much he is hated by Rovers fans.
Thought he had just taken Gillingham job anyway. Oh silly of me that means nothing does it?
-

No Nether can I 1 they know what he means to our fans or they should 2, he int a yes man and that is what they will be looking for
-
Family club of the year won’t appoint that foul mouthed moron. No way, no chance.
-

not really sure about the yes man comment. Ferguson certainly wasn’t a yes man.
-
I wouldn't want Evans.
I will say every time he's ever given an interview and talked about us, you can tell he's wanted the job for a long time.
-
Steve Evans will not be our manager. Nigel Adkins will not be our manager. Repeat after me...
-
And how to you know that are you the Head of or even on the selection panel
-
I doubt the board know who will be our manager yet, so how the bookmakers would know I have no idea.
-
That is true pib it is just pie in the sky at the moment
-
There's no way they'll entertain that buffoon so rest your weary head Vicar, they will appoint the best man for the job despite your poor view of them.
-
Just as edges Graham Westley as my last favourite man in football. I hope the club wouldn't even entertain having that fraud in charge of our great club.
He should be in the away dugout on the opening day, he has literally just joined Gillingham.
-
There are not many things that would stop me loving my club and reducing/ceasing my attendance at games - an appointment of Steve Evans most certainly would.
-

He won’t be in any dug out, he has to serve a 4 game touchline ban
-
Plus I want half a chance of getting a pie at half time!
-
That's a shame I was hoping to give him some stick.
-
I really hope we don't go for Evans..
-
Haha no chance,
-
Even money now. He’s only just gone in at Gills hasn’t he?
-
If there’s one person I hope doesn’t get the job, it’s him
COYR
-
Now evens. Is there another manager called Steve Evans?
-
They priced McCann as favourite and didn’t get that wrong, I pray to god he doesn’t get the job. I hate his style and his character. I don’t see how he fits into the club Doncaster brand. Time will tell
-
It must be April 1st or no it's June, there's no chance we'll appoint that knob.
-
And how to you know that are you the Head of or even on the selection panel
Probably because he has a fully functioning brain and a grip on reality.
As for your comment / jibe that the owners will want a ‘yes man,’ pathetic.
-
He's a f**king massive Kitson but he knows how to get promotion.
Only thing I can see ruling him out, character aside, is he loves to splash the cash, and that isn't really our style.
-

Several names were backed in to odds on favourite last time out.
I wonder if this is driven by Evans or his agent expressing interest. Whoever is betting on it may as well burn their money. No chance of this happening.
-
Evans comes in, that’s me finished with rovers until such time as he leaves. I don’t care if he got us to the premiership.
-
RTSEBM doesn't have the same ring as RTID
-
I'd rather have Dickov back than Steve f***ing Evans !!!! 😱
-
Really can’t see us appointing Evans, I trust our board have more sense than that
-
Along with many others I’d reluctantly have to hand back my ST and spend time away from football until he was sacked or choked to death on a fat Fukka pie! Surely not him, anyone but him! :turd:
-
I don’t want Evans either, but I support the club, not whoever isthe manager atthe time, so I’ll still be going whatever
-
He would’ve fitted under Richardson as both crooks however our board are a team of honourable men who will be looking for the next manager to represent the club both on & off the pitch
-

lest we forget it's been done before !! Could say it's sods law
Crawley Town
O'Driscoll was appointed Crawley Town manager in May 2012.[10] In July 2012 he left the club without managing a competitive game to take over at Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest
On 19 July 2012 O'Driscoll was appointed as manager of Nottingham Forest by the club's owners, the Al Hasawi family.[10][11] By 31 August 2012 he had signed 11 new players, including fans favourite Guedioura. He also linked up once again with former Doncaster players Simon Gillett, James Coppinger and Billy Sharp.
After just five months in charge of the club, just hours after a 4-2 victory over Leeds United, O'Driscoll was sacked on 26 December 2012. He has left Nottingham Forest twice in one year after previously being the club's coach during the 2011-2012 season.[12]

If Steve Evans EVER becomes Rovers Manager I’ll flash my arse while stood in Primark window. Absolutely no chance
-
Pretty sure he doesn't have the values of club Doncaster and playing attractive attacking football describes him either.
He does show a lot of passion and knows how to get results, however I don't expect him to even apply
-

Vicar are you serious with that yes man comment?
We know each other and i know you are Rovers through and through. A die hard fan.
So I respect your opinions even if i don’t agree with most of your posts.
Question. Were DF or GM yes men, seriously.
Why would our board want a yes man. They must be the least interfering board in the EFL.
The last thing they want is a yes man. They want a manager who can get on with managing the football playing side of the club, and all that, that entails.
Would you care to tell me why you made that comment and why do you think our board are not ambitious.
It is obvious from other posts you don’t.
-
RTSEBM doesn't have the same ring as RTID
It doesn’t, but then a big part of me footballing wise will die if he ever steps foot in the km As manager of our club.
-
No contact between Evans and Rovers according to Liam Hoden (Free Press).
-
Thank the feckin lord.

Jonathan I don't give a flying sh-t weather you think it is a rubbish comment or not if its what I think I will say it. I just don't pussy foot around sorry
-

should you not be supporting the team not the manager
-
Vicar you have not replied to my post!!! ;)
-
Closing date isn't until next Friday, so there will be nothing happening.
I'd much prefer an unknown than someone I have heard of, as I only seem to know of managers that I don't want, even Jose Mourinho.
-
Campsall I have sent you a PM mate

Hoden has said that the board will be more flexible this time and will act quicker if the right man applies.
-

Ok thanks, I have replied.
-
Boston still hate Evans for what he did to their club. He is the most unethical manager in the EFL, the total opposite to what our club wants to known for.
-
I really hope not. I used to know a couple of the first team at Bostonwhen he was there and before the fa shafted them. They claimed he was an awful man who just shouted abuse at them
I can also remember going to watch Boston and the dug out is very close to the pitch. His language etc was absolutely vile throughout the game.
To be fair to him I think his record stands up
He’s still a no for me
-

Lincs, I'm with you on that one, I would protest in the same way, as long as the club know that it's a form of protest.
-
That's a shame I was hoping to give him some stick.
I will do it for you / us. Banned Managers usually appear on TV Gantry right behind me and stand with their Video operator.
I expect HIM to appear as well but he will probably need a Chair !
-

And a bloody big crane!!
-
And keep his mouth shut or he will be pulled up like He was at Boston a few years ago Wolfie.
-
Maybe some disenchanted Gills fans have laid bets on him for Rovers
-
So, when GM was bookies favourite for Hull before it became official, the argument was that the bookies must know something..
Now with Evans, it’s just that someone may have placed a bet or two..
Which is it.?
For what it’s worth I don’t want Evans and manager either.

The song at Mansfield about ten men and a forklift was funny when Evans was manager there.
