Post by: Campsall rover on June 24, 2019, 09:32:50 pm
According to his Wikipedia profile he is the next DRFC manager and starts 1st July & his assistant is Ben Futcher. !!! ;)

Anybody care to enlighten me on this revelation.
No announcement from the Club and nothing mentioned in the media or from any other source.

Club don’t close applications until Friday.

What’s that all about?

Someone has just gone on to Wikipedia and put that on there.

As you can just edit Wiki with whatever you want,  you could go on and update it to say Campsall rover will be the next manager starting 1st July

That’s ridiculous, I don’t understand how that can be done. If it can how can you believe any factual information about different people.
It makes a total nonsense of Wiki pages.  :headbang:

It will removed shortly because although anyone can edit or update Wikipedia you have to provide supportive creditable evidence to support your edit.

I still can't believe people take everything on Wikipedia for granted.
Half the stuff on there is crap.

Jake Garner, BBC Radio Nottingham's Mansfield Town reporter

This certainly wouldn't have been an easy decision for John Radford. David Flitcroft got a lot of things right and you could see improvements all over the pitch this season.

The football under him has been largely entertaining and Stags looked a force to be reckoned with, spending most of the season in and around the top three with players like Krystian Pearce, Mal Benning and CJ Hamilton flourishing.

A solid defensive record of 18 clean sheets helped bring the highest league finish for some time and missing out on automatic promotion, and then losing in the play-offs, was a cruel way to end a campaign full of promise.

But given the resources Flitcroft had been given, the season was simply not deemed good enough.

Summary of Flitcroft last season surely sounds like a few boxes would be ticked by our board if he has applied. The only negative from the season was falling out of the automatics.

great bit of reporting that NOT he totally airbrushed a certain loanee from Forest called Tyler Walker (yes you all know who his dad was ) Tyler scored 22 goals in 44 league matches and it would be a good idea to sign him on loan   - the funny thing is i am sure wellover 16 of those goals came in the second half but there again with "index linked inflation"  :chair: applied to football matches they last 97 minutes on average contributes a bit towards it.

I don't think Flitcroft ticks any of our boxes. Not a particularly good manager. Sacked from Mansfield for failing to achieve promotion. Even with the resources he was given.

Massive movement in the betting overnight. Flitcroft is now 2/9 on skybet. All others have drifted.

Odd if we are still to interview several candidates on Monday / Tuesday.

Something has given cause for a very big shift in the odds, can’t all be on the back of the Bolton error surely.

We did have our own Tyler Walker who was a right back.

A perhaps uninspiring choice if it ends up being him, but then Mccann was too.

On Bolton's official website they put Flitcroft as our manager.
