Title: If you could be a top sportsman which sport would you choose?

Despite football being my favourite sport, for me i would choose to be a top golfer. i dont think i could handle the intense press scrutiny of being a footballer. Plus i would love to play in the Ryder cup.

A race horse, ungelded of course..  yes you get worked hard but also pampered, then when you’re retired, you’re put out to stud.!

Seriously however, I guess it would have to be football for me..  didn’t we all grow up wanting to be a leading goal scorer at DRFC, get transferred to one of the top sides to earn some money, then return to DRFC when money didn’t matter.??

That’s what I would have liked when I was 11.!

From a romantic point of view, football. Looking at it pragmatically though, golfing - similar, if not higher, earnings potential, longer career, less reliance on being in peak physical condition (I’d imagine Rory mcIlroy enjoys a pint far more frequently than Lionel Messi) and far less media scrutiny.
