Twitter have twiddled with their Pages - citing fresher look - newer features - imporovements etc etc
Personally I hate it with a passion.
I have been trying to find a way to revert back to the old version and if you want to do it it turns out to be simple. Tried the instructions below and it worked first time
Bad news ? You may have to do it more than once !
Bad news 2 ? Twitter will eventually "nobble" this fix
Good news ? There are some extensions you can download that fix the problem if you use Chrome or Firefox
How to revert to the original version of Twitter:
Start by clicking More on the lefthand side bar.
Next click Settings and Privacy, then select About Twitter under the General column.
Under the Other column, click Directory - this will open a new tab in your browser.
Then click Home on this new tab.
You should now be reverted to the old version of Twitter.

Cheers DW, the new look is awful and worse to navigate.
-
The GoodTwitter extension for Chrome works a treat.
-
Yes I was going to use that for Firefox. Apparantly works well but I was wary of downloading something I was unsure of
Any idea where the Followers and Following are on the new "crap" version ?
-
You can see your followers and who you are following if you click Profile on left bar.
I don't mind the new version to be honest, only thing that bugs me is it defaulting back to "Top tweets" every 5 minutes - any way of making it stay on "latest tweets"?
-
Wow great - thanks a lot ! If I get stuck with this new version that has helped me no end
Dont know if I can reciprocate but there is something similar to what you asked about when you click the Star on top right of Home Page ?

This article links through to the Good Twitter Add-on;

Gives the geeky alternative as well.

.... bugger. It seems they have fixed the quick way of reverting already.
The article I read said make the most of any temporary fixes like Good Twitter above because they will "get them" too
