interesting video . I should imagine dead balls a practiced all the time and good corners are fine art if you’ve got a taker . I favour short corners with ball eventually to the edge of the 18yard box so the striker has a larger target to aim at or delivery to the back post as close to the posts a possible leaving defenders and keepers running backwards getting in each other’s  way creating an opportunity for toll central defenders to get above them all . Most teams only get a handful of goals in a season but it’s worth the effort if you can be inventive.

They are relevant whenever we are playing, defending against corners is an area for improvement that I hope comes from Darren's leadership!

Yes. If we are taking them.

No. If we are defending them.

Good video.
So when one of our fans say “he shouldn’t be taking corners, he never beats the first man” about one of our players, he will be correct about half of the time..........and wrong the other half of the time.

I still have nightmares about those corners that Ian Harte was pinging in ( for Reading???)

We never score from corners...

Apart from one in the Conference play-off final, JPT final and League 1 final.

What are the chances?

The way things are going they’ll be taking them from the edge of the box soon. All this edging the ball the extra mm out of the quad is pathetic and anal.

As said in the vid, many grounds have limited run up for corners, some just no space, some with a slope to run up. Makes sense to maximise the flat ground for the run up, and is completely in line with the rules.
