Prem clubs dont get kicked out, that's not how it works..   now if it was a non league clube or league 2 club in the fa cup, that would be completely different...

In 2014, Sunderland were fined by the Premier League and the EFL after they fielded an ineligible player in four league matches and a League Cup match.

Liverpool will get a fine.

If they do get kicked out maybe we will get Herbie in January.

They'll not make a decision until the semi-finals. So they'll have to fine them.  ;)

What do all the Liverpool fans on here make of this?

Would be ridiculous if they don't just get a fine considering there's already been a precedent set with Sunderland.

Agreed on that.
Sunderland did it for quite a few games and were only fined.

This the reason Sunderland were fined,  Sunderland were fined because they failed to gain international clearance for the South Korea international after he returned to the club from a loan spell at German club Augsburg last season.

The Premier League club did not realise they needed to seek international clearance for a second time when he returned to England.

Liverpools situation seems to be similar, a player returning from a loan not being cleared.

Got away with it, well if you call a £200 000 fine with £100 000 suspended getting away with it?

Someone called Ji Dong.

Ji Dong-won, who famously scored the winner for them in a league game against Man City once.

The player in question for Liverpool on this occasion is Pedro Chirivella. I bet Herbie Kane is glad his Liverpool debut hasn't been scrubbed from the record books!
