68' Max Watters' strike has given #DRFC's U23 side the lead at Aston Villa in the Premier League Cup despite playing the entire second half so far with 10 men. #PLCup #AVFC

Final score 1-0 to Rovers.
Well done lads.

Cracking result.

Superb 👏👍

Brilliant result, and still the Villa's bogey team. AJ Greaves sent off in the first half.
-
What a fantastic result. Long may it continue, I bet the coaching staff are buzzing.

Good win well done, are Villa any good?

Good result but just a bit of realism Aston Villa side have lost both the opening games against us and Exeter. But they are a Cat 1 academy so it’s a good result especially with 10 men for over 60 mins. Next game is against Exeter on Tuesday 26th November.

A villa supporter who went to the game has posted a short report on their forum, it says, the first half was very much even, and Villa were awarded a penalty which hit the post and rebounded into play, he however had no idea what it was awarded for. Shortly after just before half time Greaves was sent off for his second booking of the game.
The second half the Villa dominated possession but could not break the Rovers defence down, in spite of having a number of half chances.
The Rovers were limited to break away attacks but from one scored to take the lead through a goal by Watters, and saw the game out in spite of mounting pressure from the home side.
The Villa side was,Searle Walker Rowe Raven Bridge (Sohna) Birch (Vassilev) Archer Brunt Sea Tait Obutayo.
There was no list of our players, Has anybody any idea if any of the Villa side has actually played in their first team?

The scorer was Watters, by the way.
