What a surprise, it's like waiting for Christmas ffs
More like waiting for Brexit!!
Yeah but more than 52% of people actually want Christmas to come.....
;)
-
but most people don't want Brexit to come , so good job it's not going to happen 👍

17.5 million is less than half so MOST people DIDNT vote for it. I hope when/if Brexit does happen that we seriously increase our understanding of Maths as a country. When I say country I mean Brexiteers although they seem to think they’re the only people in this country so maybe my previous sentence was correct?!?!
-
You lost the vote by a majority of people who got off their bums and voted, go cry somewhere else. It's funny how politics doesn't work or democracy is broken when something doesn't go your way isn't it.

I’m not a brexiteer but you can’t assume them that did vote wanted to remain. By your own logic 52 % plus all the others who didn’t vote have not wanted to remain 😂

you do talk some rubbish, a vote is a vote and saying what about the people who have not voted is pure tosh. Its like saying the general election does not count cos more people did not chose to vote
-
Anyone who couldn't be bothered to vote should have no complaints at the outcome. The only fact that matters is that of those bothered to turn out the leavers won.
-
Exactly
-
This thread is not about Brexit..
There’s plenty in the off topic section for that.!
-
I did not start that conversation about Brexit thank you IDM
-
I wasn’t aiming the comment just at you, it was for everyone.. otherwise I would have quoted you.

OK

But when anyone else does it they are either wrong or taking rubbish? Maybe you need to accept others can have opinions that differ to yours?
-
is anyone willing to accept that a) the facts weren't known 3 years ago e.g. what Brexit meants, and so no-one could have made an informed decisions AND b) in a true democracy people can change their mind?

Apologies for off topic but can’t let this go by.
Are you prepared to accept that a) the facts weren’t made clear what “Remaining” actually meant and so couldn’t have made an informed decision. b) In a true democracy the decision of the people is carried out not strung along to satisfy those who lost and can’t accept it?
-
People keep saying about appealing the decision when there has been nothing dished out yet, but I am not sure there will be any appeal and the EFL are a law to them selves and probably won't even listen to our club. We have probably done all we can and gone as far as we can
Does that mean you know something?
No just my opinion

At the time of the referendum I understood just a bit more than diddly squat of what leaving the EU really entailed. I consider myself reasonably intelligent. I voted to Remain but did give leaving plenty of thought. At the same time I thought it was totally wrong to give such a complicated issue to the general public to vote on. There was precious information given for the Remain argument whilst there seemed to be loads of information (much which is now in question) why we should vote to leave. 3 years down the line and much more knowledgeable about what it all involves if we had a second referendum I would vote exactly the same again but this time wouldn’t even entertain the option of leaving. I am genuinely frightened of the direction our country is being taken.

I voted out and will still do the same, ant there is a lot of scare mongering going on with the leave side, but if they had left no deal on the table it would be be done and dusted by now

Please keep this on topic.. this isn’t a Brexit thread..
Three times i have asked now.. Brexit is done to death in the off topic section, let’s leave it there shall we.?
