That the majority of the population seem to be gullible fools who don’t really give a shit about the suffering that a Tory government will inflict on large swathes of the population. I’m alright jack and all that...

As has been said before HA, make labour look really bad so bad that you can vote tory with a clear conscience.

I wouldn't think that all those that fought for workers rights, equality and voting would think much of the nouveau riche that have emerged since the war, regardless of whether their ancestors worked 'darn pit' or not.

Been interesting this last few weeks. Johnson trumpeting that Austerity had ended and it was time to start raising public spending

But this manifesto shows nothing of that. It's tinkering around the edges of a public sphere that is in deepening crisis.

The head of the IFS who comes from a right wing economic school of thought says this manifesto set of policies would "bake in Austerity for the next 3 or 4 years."
