With the general election on a couple of weeks away it's not been a good few days for Jezza and I think even the most positive of Labour supporters are beginning to accept the reality that some form of coalition with the SNP is the only option on the table to Govern and even that would need a bit of a poll surge..
So would a Tory Majority cost him his job?? Or would the membership prop him up.Personally I couldn't see him surviving because if he cant get the job done against this government then he never will.
If he does go would that signal a return to centre/left politics or just be a swap like for like so to speak??
Boris is a bit more cut and dried,If he can be PM he stays and if he cant he will walk away a defeated man and the Tory division would show itself once more.Right now he will be happy how it's going,the polls show him infront but he wont be taking anything for granted..
Swinson is in trouble,the libs were expecting a lot stronger showing than this and she's going to struggle to stay leader if things stay the same although her best chance is that there are no real candidates to replace her...
What do you think is the minimum result for your Part's leader is needed to battle on??

I think McDonnell said if they didn’t get in him and corbyn would resign, for the tories I suppose it would depend if they had enough support to get brexit through if not boris would have to go, Lib Dem’s if they don’t improve on last time she would have to go

Genuine question here for someone like BST.
If Labour could form a coalition government with the SNP, would that put an end to Brexit, given that the Scots voted to remain in the EU.
But, because the Scots also seem to want an independence vote what would happen to the coalition if their vote went through and the independant vote won.

If Scottish independence comes to be then how can it be right for them to keep England in the EU after they have left?

Cant see this happening but a hung Parliament could leave Labour Lib Dems Independents and SNP in a Coalition
They let Labour try to negotiate a deal - and then that (or Mays deal) goes back to the People as a Vote for this Deal or Vote Remain
I think if it got that far (and it wont) Remain would win the day and the Coalition would then let the SNP have a second Independence vote and either way that would be the theoretical end of the Coalition.
It wont happen cos the bloke who did not want the Election will win it and rule as he likes unhindered for a full term

They are all supposed to be keen to "put the Country first" but of course NONE of them will and as usual whichever Party (or Parties) get in we the rank and file will be the ones that :
a) pay out through the nose whilst watching almost every promise given by any Party not materialising
Seriously does anyone think Labour could roll out Broadband to everyone by the time they set out ? No me neither
Seriously (please) can anyone NOT see the NHS being gradually sold off to the Private sector over the lifetime of the next Parliament
I am "unlucky" enough to need 7 different Tablets per day and the Prescription is currently about £9 per item. By the same token I am lucky enough to be over 65 so I get my stuff for free. How mant people seriously (please) would think I will be coughing out about £35 within 5 years "if spared" as Wogan used to say Personally I think its a shoe in

In answer to OP by WCo I think Jeremy Corbyn needs a miracle and hopefully if he loses someone takes the poisoned chalice from him because he surely would be untenable if the Tories get in because as you pointed out if he does CANT beat Johnson who in years past would never have got as far as he has then he will never beat anyone

I try to be objective and the upper echelons of every Party are really / nearly all the same.
They are all depressing me badly and in the Tories especially Johnson Gove Raab Rees-Mogg Hancock Leadsom Barclay and others we have imho the most immature fabricating fact twisting set of people I can ever remember AND I already know they will win and probably all sit giggling like kids in a corner
Thats the bit I cant get over - and having said that there are quite a few in Labour Party that I similarly think are out of their depth but they at least are not treating me like an old fool

DW, maybe you don't like the leaders equally but it's the party's that will make the difference and set the agenda, more of the same with the Tories or a new start with labour.

Oh I quite agree - the trouble is the Elections for quite a few rotations have been more about the personality of the Leader of each Party and for some reason despite their moral stances and aims a lying two faced hypocrite who will not give a s**t once elected is preferred it seems to his direct opponent
If only we had PR - and what is worse if / when the Tories win they will be able to comfortably ignore the call for that as well. I mean if you can get a landslide (Thatcher) using FPTP with 42 % of the Vote why would you be tempted to change knowing you are throwing away your huge advantage and your 42% of the Vote would get you 42 % of the Seats on offer ?

If they did use their noddles DW, it's certainly a possibility that some unfavoured Tory MP would be prevailed upon to fall on his or her sword and resign from their safe seat. Illness is always a good excuse. Or personal matters. Or family. And then Blow Job could waltz into the empty seat and return to take over from the infirm interim leader chosen to keep his place warm. The 1922 Commiittee still have a lot of influence. It could be managed.
