Received my flyer today.
It says we'll get Brexit done and bemoans the fact that Corbyn and Labour have voted time and again to block Brexit.
No mention of Boris Johnson doing the same.
Bragging about putting 20,000 police on the streets
No mention that the Tories got rid of them in the first place.
Says Labour MP's have neglected Doncaster for 55 years.
No mention that starving the council of money over the last 10 years has been the worst bit.
Building 40 new hospitals across the country.
NO They're NOT.
How can they get away with this load of tosh?
-
Because enough people don't give a shit about being lied to TT.
-
People are daft enough to believe it is how they get away with it.
-
I think.in the main people aren't daft DO. Some, certainly, will lap it up and believe it. But not so many.
The more disturbing thing is the millions of people who KNOW it is all lies, but will still vote for it. That doesn't augur well for the future.

I'd agree BST but I'd continue to suggest it points to a massive issue that Labour have and that's the front Bench

But the Tory front bench is infallible.
-
No not at all but nice deflect. Just face it, with a more palatable to the general public front bench Labour would be pissing this election

So it's Labour's fault that the Tories are lying to every household in Doncaster.
Can't quite get me head round that one.
-
No but as with the above post full marks for the classic deflection. Look at the state of the Tories, labour should be walking this but they are not, that's not policy, its public perception
-

Deflect? How was that a deflect? Personally I can't see anything wrong with the front bench and it's ground we've all been over numerous times over.
-
I'm talking about the general public, the floating voter that decides the election not the hardcore party support

Fail to address point - check, slag other side - check yeah that's a deflect. We all do it, and it's a symptom of what's wrong with this country, inability to self reflect and admit problems
-
Ldr
So you're happy for the Tories to continually publish a tissue of lies which sway public opinion.

No but doesn't address my point

So you slag off Labour and I say Tories are no better, yet you're only allowed to comment on Labour but I can't comment on the Tories?
You're made yourself look a bit daft. Let's leave it there.
-
If you cant address my point then I suggest you stop replying
-
I've just been out for lunch with my brother and sister.
Both are Tory voting, Daily Mail reading Brexiteers, though neither are very interested in politics.
Neither saw any problem with Tory lies and half truths.
'Well they all lie so what's the problem'
and didn't want to listen to me.
I wanted to bang their f,**ing heads together but didn't for family's sake.
-
You should have 😁
-
Ldr. Do you want to address my point about the photo of that kid in A&E? The one that WASN'T staged?
-
I have, whether you accept my view is up to you.
-
Thanks Ldr. I'm a talented lad, but I can't read minds!
-
As on the other thread, kid was definitely on floor but all a bit suspiciously convenient at election time. I work in one of the biggest trusts in the uk and maybe that's the difference, could never see that been allowed which is why I am cynical. There are always options with a trolley generally being last resort. I could write reams on the problems facing NHS trusts and also the wastage in the system but maybe that's more suited for another time and with beer 😁
-
I worked in the NHS for 30 years Ldr. In mental health and addiction and can safely say that things got progressively worse and are now AT their worst.
As a CPN 20 years ago I had a caseload with manageable numbers whereby you could offer effective, intense treatment.
Now caseloads are so ridiculously high you've no chance of managing it.
-
TT I can imagine, cant comment as I work in the acute side so would defer to your knowledge on MH.
