Is it a part time appointment!
-
Great appointment by the Belles. I’m sure Andy will be a terrific coach for the players.
-
He’s been working at the club already. Hope he can get the moving in the right direction.
-
Good news. Onwards and upwards hopefully.
-
Yes apparently Andy will continue to play at Scunny ..all the Belles players are also part time of course .
-
Think he will retire at the end of the season with scunny and put his full efforts into the Belles
-
Agreed v good appointment. He's a true Donny lad and has been training some of the younger lads as well I believe. Can't fault him at all for that
-
I am sure I read on here once he wanted to be a referee !
-
He is, isn’t he.?

He is.
-
He is a referee, and a coach. And still a player.
A great bloke with a clear love for the game.
-
I thought he had to "give up" the refereeing as the next level would need him to referee on Saturdays...which obviously isnt possible at the moment for him.
All the best to him (except when playing for Scunthorpe lol).
-
He’s Mr Doncaster and will manage DRFC at some point
-
Manager in waiting
-
In the future that will be a great appointment to carry on wherever DM leads us

Nicely placed for when DM finally decides to go somewhere that he’ll have some money to spend! 🤪
-
Top bloke and great to have him back with us !! 👍
-
He's got his work cut out, they got beat 12-0 at home today .

No doubt he will manage the Rovers in the future, I think Ritchie Wellens would be the next one on the list though, that being said, Swindon will be in our league next season by the looks of it.

Mmmm, so a six nil defeat next week could be classed as improvement.
-
To be fair they were unlikely to do anything much against an experienced and organised team from the division above who are pushing for promotion and have got to the 4th round of the Women’s’ FA Cup - just got run ragged in the middle hour of the game - but pleasingly started to play some more composed football towards the end. Butler and Buxton were quietly coaching and encouraging all the way through.
Also the Belles had a stand in keeper (as the previous one left a couple of weeks ago) just for this game - she tried hard but couldn't do much about most of the goals - a fitter keeper would have got to more
of the shots.
I understand that more experienced players have been being recruited including 2 keepers, midfielder and striker - they had 18 players turn up yesterday instead of normal 12/13 which shows the level of excitement at the change of management / direction by Club Doncaster - who let’s face it - cannot let the Belles fail otherwise that reflects badly on them and Butler/Buxton.
This is a season of consolidation and re-building - the old days have gone and this is a new (and hopefully) relatively successful era for the Belles.
:)

Thanks for the update  It's not easy to see much of what's happening from the outside with the Belles of recent .

it Beggars belief that the previous owners held out against the takeover until the squad had been totally decimated .
