We can be happy in the immediate term that we’ve strengthened the depth of the squad. Bringing in two strikers is a huge help to our forward options. And the two loanees mean that, should one loanee get injured, we can still max out our loanee quota in any one game.
Delighted with Cole and Okenabirhie who both ensure that we are now strong upfront and have options from the start and for the bench.
We can’t ignore the fact that the real hard work now defers til the summer. Despite adding 4 players in this window, we still only have 9 senior professionals contracted beyond the current campaign. Hopefully attention now turns to retaining the services of Dieng, Sheaf and Sadlier. Then we will have a team to build from.

Already, the talk is that it’s unlikely we will get Dieng, Jon. Sheaf has more of a chance and maybe that’s why we’ve signed Lokilo on loan - with a view to it becoming a permanent if all sides agree? I’m not sure about the 2 Wolves lads, maybe we might get one of them.
If this is a sign of things to come, then bring it on. We don’t need to worry about strikers for a while, at least.

We know have 8 ( counting Watters) players for 4 positions with another loan to cover the two loans in there. But with 13 games in the next 8 weeks we have cover.

February is very busy, so they’ll all get a turn I guess. Thankfully, we now have strength in depth. Even Baptiste (remember him?) isn’t far off a return.
It’ll be like a rugby scrum on the bench!

Times have changed! We’re in a much better position defensively than last season . Credit to by the board for backing Darren. We are going up say we are going up

It's going to be a good battle for these play offs because few teams around us like Peterborough and Sunderland have also strengthened well. Feeling a lot more optimistic with a bench of players that can have an impact if needed.

By the end of February I think you'll start to see the proper picture. IMO Rotherham and Sunderland will go up automatically. We just need to remain consistent and we'll be in there or extremely close to it. The interesting thing now is how teams like Wycombe and Oxford carry on. Oxford lost a couple of key players yesterday and Wycombe have started to wobble a little.

Oxford losing Baptiste is massive. He was the best player on the pitch by a slack handful of streets when we beat them in December.
