Bradford sack Gary Bowyer
Got 11 months.
Some of these Chairmen don’t deserve success. They seem to expect instant success. Don’t give managers any time to build a team.
It’s laughable unless you support one of the multitude of clubs that fire managers as soon as you go 6/7 games without a win.
Pleased we don’t have a board so fickle.

We have a lot of fickle fans though.

We have a lot of fickle fans though.
We certainly do.
I think we have an above average no of them.
Before i get slaughtered for saying that, i have no evidence it is just a perception.

I will also counter that statement by saying we also have some very loyal supporters, some of the best supporters you could possibly have.

Campsall, I live in Bradford and have mates of all ages that support City.
I expected Bowyer to do well at City given some of his previous success.
This season City have been playing turgid football and players played out of position a la DF. He has also fallen out with some players. Doyle and Vaughan their two main strikers, now both out on loan.
It is all right criticising fans and chairmen when you aren't seeing that side week in week out. Last mid-week home game there were actually about 6-7,000 there when they have sold about 15,000 or so season tickets.
Something had to give.

Reading previously what Doyle was on something had to give there. I didn’t realise he had gone back to Swindon, are they paying a big chunk of his wages. You would have thought if he had been knocking goals in at Bradford they would have been in the automatic promotion places. Definitely something not right at Valley Parade. Are they still giving away season tickets btw

Didn’t Swindon sign Doyle permanently this window.?

Doyle came back reluctantly. City's style of play doesn't suit him and he doesn't score for them. Bowyer told him that he wasn't wanted when he came back due to circumstances and attitude. City told Swindon on December that they could keep him for £137,000. When Swindon couldn't or wouldn't pay he was recalled. Swindon will probably use the money saved to pay Doyle's wages whereas City are no longer contributing the £4-6k a week that they have been paying all season.

If Stuart McCall hadn't been hamstrung by the previous German owners he would never have left.

Fair enough Idler. I have not seen them this season of course. Maybe Bowyer deserved to go.
It was really just a generalisation as how quick some boards are to get the P45’s out.

When Geoffrey Richmond walked away with his bonus and left City in the crap it was Julian Rhodes and his dad that put millions in to keep them going.
He wants what is best for City and I think that Bowyer had a very poor relationship with the fans. Even if you only pay £170 for a season ticket you want to be entertained.
