Lots of old DCI Banks episodes - had forgotten how much I liked them.
Then we came across the one where the bad guy, a real nasty piece of work, was called Jaff Kitson
My wife couldn't understand why I kept on laughing ;)

Yes it’s odd how often you get coincidences in different tv shows or films..
Like Daniel Radcliffe’s character being dead, in a railway station in The Woman in Black - wonder where that had happened before.?
Or like in war films where they always have that short angry actor with the funny moustache playing the bad guy.!
(Apologies to the Royle Family for nicking their line)

I also like the fact it is supposed to be set in some anonymous boring large place in Yorkshire with lots of crime ...........
and you see of lot of pictures of Leeds.

... with dead wheely bins everywhere and corruption rife at the local Football team ?

How come there's never been a Royal Inquiry into the murder rate in Midsomer?
Or a Swedish inquiry into the social breakdown in Ystad.
-
And how come there's a murder everywhere Poirot and Miss Marple turn up.
It's never happened to me and I've spent a lot of time in Mexborough.

And how the hell does a little village in Gloucestershire become full of catholics and no one else.?
And never ever visit a Caribbean island at the same time as your employer/ex spouse/disgruntled sibling or someone you owe money to, as at least one of you will be killed by one of the others..
