So this is what 'running it hot' probably looks like.
Pushing the economy as far and as fast as possible while the virus remains substantially reproductive and having to deal with the emergencies that follow.
'Running it hot', a term like 'furloughing' that no one had heard of pre-Covid but which will now likely enter the english language on a more regularly basis:
But what does it actually mean?
Maybe:
"taking chances while behaving incompetently"
Any other suggestions?

Running it hot totally dehumanises the policy.
What happens when it starts to run very hot or reaches boiling point?
People's lives are being gambled with and lost here.

Inflation.
