There new stadium looks very nice indeed
-
It does indeed - but only 2k bigger than Keepmoat.
-
2,900 hospitality seats- I would say that is quite a lot in a 17.500 seater stadium. Obviously looking to attract a fair few prawn sandwich brigades?
-
Even a small club like Brentford has an advtage being in London. The hospitality opportunities on match day and actually outside match day must be huge. Alongside foreign players wanting to live in London rather than frozen wastelands of the north.
-
I see nowt much changes with Wycombe and their robust style from our last meetings with them .
Going to be hard going as it is this season for them never mind getting reduced to 10 men every week .
-
Could be a brick around their neck if the money at the moment continues to get out of football at the top end like the Chinese TV deal.
For at least a couple of years money could become rather scarce compared with the last ten years.

Is it my dodgy eyesight, does the pitch look like it’s cutting up a bit.

They really should have gone up last season Selby , absolutely blew it .
You have to wonder whether they'll get that close again in all honesty .

Is Akinfenwa injured or just not in the squad.

Not in the squad today .
Must be saving him for next Saturday against Rovrum .
-
I thought he had left
-
I thought he had left
Signed a 1 year deal not long after the play offs.
Cant recall him ever playing in the Championship before so not a bad effort at the age of 38.

Is Akinfenwa injured or just not in the squad.
Had an operation after the season ended and is recovering.

Cheers ND.
I was kind of hoping he hadn’t retired from playing.
It will be interesting to see how he fares in the coming season.
-
He was interviewed after the game, and looked to have lost weight.
-
He wasn’t over weight at all selby it is all solid muscles

afraid not i am sure you remember my post on here a mere 4 years ago ??
it seems you don't know the sp on him
some time after he "left" rovers [his missus did not like the idea of him going up north (and he allegedly "used to be good with excuses" for "turning up late etc "when at rovers )]
he got one or two career threatening legs injuries - and he had to have a metal rod - or something inserted in his leg - so he was always on relatively short term contracts - (failed a medical once for Millwall) in case he broke down - presumably he rightly made the most of his situation and "expanded outwards" seems like a really nice guy
imagine all the alarms going off as he goes through security at the airports :suicide:
