Our next league match which really makes you wonder if the season as a whole can be completed - lots of clubs now way behind where they should be in terms of matches played - I wouldn’t want to be a fixtures administrator for the football league
-
On a similar-ish note, does anyone know when the cut-off for yellow cards is?
Depending when, there could be teams having played considerably fewer games than others, but subjected to the same deadline.
-
why is it the next league game ??
-
Yeah we technically still have the Fleetwood game on Tuesday to play unless we come back with more positive tests so we can postpone.

Hi vaya.
I read recently on here that 19 games is the cut off.

I have posted the Site for all Yellow Cards / who has them / who is suspended and all the cut off dates etc etc
It is a brilliant resource and yet this morning and now it is a totallu useless resource. Has anyone one else got the link to it pls ?

It’s only our next league game if we have more players testing positive.
It sounds some will as the reports say some other players are showing symptoms. The rest of the squad will be tested over the next couple days after that we will definitely know when we can play again.

Think cut off point is after 19 games
-
So the defeat on Tuesday could prove very costly

We've been here before...not Covid related obviously but season 1981/2 saw Rovers league campaign decimated by the weather from early December through to mid January. Rovers Boxing Day fixture at Saltergate was one of many postponed that day and just 18 league games had been played at that stage with match 19 coming on the 16th January at Roots Hall. In fact Rovers didn't hit the half way point for league games played until the 9th February and a whole half season of league matches were crammed into a 3 month period finishing on the 18th May.

The winter of 62-63 was even worse Surrey. There was hardly a match played, anywhere, between January and March I think it was. The whole season had to be extended to allow it to finish.

That was a Winter 62/63 wow snowploughs (eventually) getting to clear roads on housing estates after what seemed like weeks and probably was ! I have not seen such snow
Dont have records of 47 because that was a bad one too I seem to remember (by reputation) but that must have forced a few fixtures "off"

Apparently, Wolfie, the 46/47 season had to be extended until June.
Ask BB about it. He used to take his grandson in 1947.

My father told me that he went to the Hull City away game in 1946/47 on a single decker bus with Tommy Hollings the local coach owner in Askern.
No M62 in those days the road through Snaith, Goole and Gilberdyke and Brough the old way, he said for most of the way you could not see into the fields at the side of the road because the snow cleared off the road was too high.
Incidentally Clarrie Jordon also told me his boot sole came off in that game and he played most of the match with a bandage holding the sole and the boot together.

If you means Copps, his birthday is either 10th or 18th January.
Depends which article you read on the internet.
I think it is 18th.
Apologies if you mean someone else.
